we'd have to consider the offer, 100mill could easily get us so many other players that we would almost instantly improve to an unprecedented level.

I am genuinely concerned that once City bag a few more stars the top players in the PL, including Liverpool, will find them a more viable proposition.
More worryingly is that the amount of money they would offer would possibly force the club's hand in selling some of our best players, i.e. Torres and Gerrard, even if they are not set on a move ala Kaka."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

The first thing we would have to do with our 100m would be to replace Gerrard. What midfielders are available that are of equal or better quality? Buying a few fancy wingers won't fill the enormous gap in midfield. If i was in charge, Gerrard would never be sold.Originally posted by Parm View Postwe'd have to consider the offer, 100mill could easily get us so many other players that we would almost instantly improve to an unprecedented level.

No way. It would cost god knows how much to get a player capable of playing at his level.
But it is the appearence of being a small club that is not acceptable. When LFC are selling their best players I think you will find that the players we need at the club would be less willing to come to Anfield.
And as at times Stevie is the only one who seems capable of scoring we would be shooting ourselves in the foot, big time.Forwards.......
