I can't believe a lot of people on here are battering Rafa for telling the truth, he has said it's not about money or the length of the contract because that has been sorted it's about him having control.
Wenger controls the Arsenal academy, Fergie the Man U one so it's only natural that the manager wants to control everything to do with the football side of the club.
Do you all expect him to sign for 4 years when he feels handicapped by not setting up the academy to produce players ready for the 1st team?? when he has to rely on Parry to get deals done???
Less locally produced players means more money spent on buying young talent and buying 'home grown' players at an inflated premium to satisfy FIFA regulations.

Rafa uses the fans to manipulate those around him which in my opinion is just not on. He should fight his own battles based on merit rather than saying if you don't do what I say you will upset the fans. I love Rafa but sometimes I also really dislike the way he behaves.
