Don't you think how strange and how out of character it was for Rafa'a rant? Then just as it is dying down he has another little pop at Mr Gill. Then that is just fading and then they announce he's close to signing a new deal(why is anyone interested until he has signed).

This is all very clever smoke and mirror tactics to divert everyone from the VERY BIG NEWS. Liverpool are in the process of a big takeover and massive new signing, but are playing these silly Rafa games to keep everyones attention preoccupied. Calm down! It's only January!!

1. There is no way we'll sell him for £7.5m, he wants to stay at Liverpool. He won't leave in this transfer window and Rafa will sort it out when he has his meeting with H&G at the end of the month.


2. Rafa just wants more control over footballing issues, money etc are all sorted, Have a listen to the Tom Hicks interview, there seems to be an amount of flexibility there...it WILL get sorted!!!

3. Agreed. If a take over happens or Rafa gets more control over footballing issues it will be the beginning of the end for Parry.

4. It's January....get a grip!!

5. IMO the timing is good. We've just played a bad game, all this other stuff is taking the focus of the press off the players.

Control issues are the biggest reason that may stop Rafa going to Real in his career. He just wouldn't get any.
