Can't believe the total pish i'm reading here to be honest - some people should be ashamed of themselves.

Make no mistake - Everton are a very difficult side to play and they upped their game against us tonight - they fought from the 1st minute right until the last and made it extremely difficult for us.

Rafa picked the team a lot of fans have been crying out for tonight - an attack minded formation with our best players on the pitch. However, even though Everton more than matched us with desire and passion - we should have been 3 up by the time we conceded an extremely sloppy goal in the last minutes of play - yet people still want to lay the sole blame on Rafa.

To be honest, it makes me ****ing sick reading peoples posts - its almost as bad as the result, whining like a bunch of crying babies - man up, get behind the team or just **** off.

That was one of the most gutting moments of the season conceding that goal. Most of us knew the only way they were going to score was a set piece so it was inevitable. I sank into my seat when we gave away that free and tried to prepare myself to be gutted. And of course it happen. Depressingly familiar.

I've just spent a weekend with a bunch of mancs and the abuse myself and another red took was cruel when they beat Bolton. I really cannot contemplate them winning it.

Watching us implode like this is like having a family member with an addiction. They repeat mistakes over and over despite telling you they know what they are doing. I'm so devastated by our collapse and the now inevitability of it all that I want to something to happen to stop this happening, this being those scumbags winning the third title in a row.

If we fail to beat Wigan, then beat Chelsea at home, the fat lady is in the room.

16 games to go in the league and we are neck and neck. No reason to be so negative when we are at the top and in contention with much of the season to go.

The business end of the season is coming up and we are joint top. Lets win 13/14 of the last 16 games and the title is ours

the Fat Lady hasnt even ordered her 3rd dessert yet, never mind paid her massive bill and headed to the venue ffs. perspective. a LOT of football has to be played. Man U need to play a hell of a lot of tough games. we will win at home and we will beat teams maybe a lot of people here think we shouldnt. If we are 5 points behind in April I will start to get despondent, until then, chin up, we walk on. lets **** these c**ts on sunday and win the FA cup as well as the ****ing league come on!

                  Not good enough
Beat Chelsea at the bridge, since that day they have collapsed at home also. Beat the Mancs. Beat Everton at Goodison.

                  Is that good enough?

What pissed me off was the Anfield crowd, who were out sung by the Everton lot and started to leave on masse when Everton equalized. Where was the noise and cheering for an equaliser? In comparison to the Bridge on the weekend it was a morgue. The crowd has long frustrated me but this is tipping me over the edge. They have won us games in the past countless times, and still do in the cup games.

Maybe someone should replay the quote by Shankly over and over again "your bread and butter" - because fans seem to have forgotten that us winning the league is not a god given right.

Yesterdays result had nothing to do with the 2 subs of keane and torres, it was all down to poor defending on 1 set piece, where I would be very inclined to blame Skrtel, for what can only be seen as the worst marking in the 6-yard box in ages.

It is not like cahill outruns him, any tricky runs from the everton players or anything like that. Cahill just gets to stand totally uncovered with skrtel standing without any markings whatsover and even for a long time.

We should have won yesterday, and should have used our chances better than what we did. Especially Torres chance in the first half.

Keane was totally out of the game and needed substitution, Torres was tactical because we where in front. The only sub I don't understand is the Riera one after the equaliser.

But we are level on top of the league still and in it with a very good chance, mind our form need to start changing soon.

I won't stop believing now, when we are still so close! We can very well still go on and win it, and how much fun is football if you don't believe in every game and just sit down and murk?

Not sure that I agree with you. There was a chain of events leading up to the goal. We should never have been in that position. And both Benny and Lucas contributed to the situation. I agree that Skrtel should have done better but it was a stupid, unforced and sloppy foul by Benny started it.

And as for Keane, name me one striker in the world that can perform when they only get a max of 70 mins each game. Then the next game they get dropped. Even when he was starting to get on a run after Arsenal and Bolton, he was dropped against Newcastle where he could have continued his run.

I manage a software development team and if I spent top dough for a highly rated developer and then asked him to spend over 30% of his time playing tetris and only to come in 3 days a week, I would be fired. And probably sued for constructive dismissal.

I'm sure that Rafa has some higher plan, and he is much more knowledgable than me about football, but for the life of me I have no idea what he is doing!!!

I understand what you're saying to an extent, but from my point of view taking the likes of Torres and Keane off encourages the opposition, it also brings their back four up 5 yards because Kuyt doesn't have the pace or talent to worry them. This in turn allows the opposition to attack and put us under pressure as happened last night.

In the premiership you simply cannot allow this mentality when you're only 1 nil up.

I agree with the comments on Skrytel, I really don't rate the lad highly. Agger is potentially the most talent defender we've had for decades.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

That is a poor comparison mate, because subs is an integral part of football. By that logic we should never sub anyone because it would be equal a 3 day work week. But I do very much agree that he should have gotten an extended run after scoring against arse and bolton.

But how many chances did everton actually produce after does subs? 1 from a set piece which was very poor marking.

Thats just pointless. They had a couple of chances, but they were in the ascendency because of the changes. We went defensive and encouraged the pressure. The mistakes (free kick that lead to the goal for example) happened with mistakes made due to a large amount of pressure, pressure created because Everton were happy to move forward in mass due to the lack of threat at the other end.

And to answer your question, 1 chance and 1 goal.
