I really don't agree. They may have attempted to, but with Torres they wouldn't have moved as far forward IMO, we would've been encouraged to attack more ourselves too. Taking he and Keane off and bringing on the likes of Lucas sends out a message to defend to the rest, which at 1 nil is the wrong option.Originally posted by rudedog View PostThats where I think you are totaly wrong - I think Everton would have attacked 'en masse' at the end regardless of who we had on the pitch simply because they had nothing to lose and everything to gain from this tactic.

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

At some point they would have no choice but to throw everything forward.

Torres was exhausted, that was plain to see. Keane had been anonymous all night.Originally posted by FatTony View PostI really don't agree. A schoolboy error and a shocking decision from the Ref lost us this game, not Rafa's tactical decisions.
Its so easy for people to say 'Rafa should have done this' when the outcome from what he actualy did can already be seen.

spot on. Carra at centre back all day everyday. The other guy is a liability, was ****ting it everytime he got the ball.Originally posted by FatTony View PostBelieve me, Skyrtel is very average and Carra is no right back.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

TV said injured.Originally posted by looprevil View PostCan someone tell me what has happened to Agger?
I guess its to do with the contract. But how Rafa expects him to sign one when he's been left out most of the season god only knows. Carra & Agger should be first choice. I know a lot love old ugly skittles but he's overated for me. It was no coincedence that we played better when he was out injured and I knew his returning would create more problems than solve.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Agreed 100%. Whatever the 'great mancs' do they are very close to us. Yes I am disspointed, yes Babel should have come on last night but we are still in it.Originally posted by Clapper View PostHere we are three points after Man U, if they win the game in hand, and people are already acting like our season is over.
We are ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal, just behind Man U, of course we have made some stupid draws, but those teams have done the same. That is just one of those seasons, but stop acting like we are out of the title race, we are very much in it.
Anxiety comes from within.
Skrtel or Sami made a pretty poor pass out of defence last night just after we scored, lots of the paddock and Main stand screamed like banshees at him, Carra turned around and appealed, yes appealed to them to calm down.
Anxiety transposes on to the pitch and Carra, for one, definitely sensed it last night, our local hero appealing for calm in the middle of a big game.
Take note.
Also, I feel I have to comment on Everton and their supporters. Firstly, they are Stoke with 2 good players, Moyes gameplan, clearly, was pump it forward and get as many freekicks around the area as possible. Pienaar and Anichebe dived as much as any 2 players I have seen at Anfield for years.
Secondly, I wonder how many of their fans were arrested last night for obscene chanting, I counted (sad I know) the following;
Murderers, sang 8 times.
Micheal Shields, 5 times.
Ste Gerrard (baby), 11 times.
Ste Gerrard (going down) 10 times.
Absolute disgrace from them and all credit to the Kop, again, we didnt respond with anything remotley obscene.

I wasn't there, and you really couldn't make out too many songs on the TV, but I find that hard to believe. I'd be interested to know if anyone else says that.Originally posted by bipjohn View PostAbsolute disgrace from them and all credit to the Kop, again, we didnt respond with anything remotley obscene.

I am telling you now, nothing obscene was sung by us. In fact its very very rare that I have heard anything out of order from us, very rare, granted I havent been to Goodison for 8 or 9 years so I am prepared to be proven wrong there. We have some nobhead fans, believe me, Ive seen them here and abroad many times doing many stupid, childish things; bullies, thugs and druggies, so I am not totally blinkered.
I have also seen them on all recent previous visits (not this one) with hands pressed up to their faces and with copies of the s*n on display.
Pure evil bitters.

That is shocking. I would have thought the majority of their own fans would turn on those idiots for doing that.

Ok, in your opinion. The melodramatic way in which you say it's all over already is ridiculous thoughOriginally posted by Joe King View PostWe won't win the title. They sang "murderers", "Rafa's crackin up, he's crackin up", "Steve Gerrard's going down" and "You're gonna win **** all" when they scored. Pathetic
We sang "**** off to Kirkby the city's all ours". 'bout it I thinkSack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge
