Real want duo cleared for Europe (WTF???)

**** off Real. Who the fusk do you think you are? cunts!

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...pe/7843347.stm

Real Madrid have appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) to allow Lassana Diarra and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar play in the Champions League.

The Spanish side meet Liverpool in the last 16 and Uefa rules say clubs can add three players to their squad for the knockout stages of the competition.

But both Diarra (Portsmouth) and Huntelaar (Ajax) have played in the Uefa Cup already this season.

And only one player can play in another European event in the same season.

Uefa turned down Real's appeal for the two players to be added to the list last week.

A statement from Cas said: "Real Madrid requests that the Uefa decision be annulled and that Uefa be ordered to register Huntelaar and Diarra."

Real face Liverpool in the first leg on 25 February and the second leg on 10 March.

Typical of them really, they think they're bigger than the rules.

If this was allowed, it would completely compromise the integrity of UEFA and the Champions League as a competition.

They are incredible, they don't give a **** for rules do they, they try absolutely every trick in the book, and don't give a toss about what people say.

And we didn't try to bend the rules when we finished 5th in 2005 did we??? C'mon you lot. Whilst there actions are clearly not good for us, we got back into the Champs league in 2006 by pleading to UEFA to change the rules. What's the difference here?

There was an obvious flaw in the rules which meant that the champions didn't necessarily qualify, this was seen as perverse by almost everyone. The rules about eligibility of players is well understood. Real bought the players knowing this. Other teams would have purchased different players that they knew would be eligible. Real either made a mistake and found themselves in a corner or they just don't give a ****.

Either way, we'll knock them out.

If they somehow get both players eligible, Platini will get so much stick.

Exactly, it's a totally different matter, they are trying to knock us out and win the competition by having the rules bent for them...just because they're Real Madrid, they want it changing for just this instance so their new players can start, they don't want a silly rule changing as we did, they want preferential treatment.

I read somewhere that their arguement was based on the fact the rules could be open to other inturpretation.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Shouldn't that be 'open to THEIR interpretation'.

Well almost anything can be misinturpreted if you try hard enough
