We always control our games, if you haven't noticed. This general lack of creativity or cutting edge has been here all season too. And us conceding soft goals without any pressure or possession from the opposition isn't new either.

Kuyt has been awful throughout this season. He has one purple patch and all of a sudden is a world beater. The guy is ****ing woeful. 'He runs back' Give me half of his wages and I'll run my ****ing legs. He offers **** all and when he gets into a position to prove everyone wrong, he does **** all. If I was a left back, I wouldn't be worried with the ghastly sight of Dirk Kuyt in front of me.

We always control games. When you are controlling games, you need creativity and I personally think Kuyt doesn't have that.

Kuyt was woeful today, as was Babel again.

The main worry is the lack of creativity that was on the park for most of the game. A proper right winger is a must.

Jagielka and Lescott were awesome today. Wtf were we doing for their goal?

        Gerrard was fabulous though.

Everton were poor they came to not lose, what was frustrating was our inability to break through them even with our superior possession. Kuyt and Babbel are so awful, if Rafa is to sell them i wouldn't shed a tear.
where the next win is going to
we're currently looking in bad shape and i can't see where the next win is coming from. did anybody else think some players looked tired?
          We come not to play.

And I'm going to get the banstick out if any outright abuse of players of the like that had to be deleted from the match thread is posted again.
You saw the game the exact same way as me
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is everyone criticizing Kuyt for his lack of attacking abilities?

He still works very hard and his tackles are superb.

We just haven't got enough goals in the side, and are far too reliant on flashes of genius from Gerrard & Torres. Babel has been a big disappointment this season, poor again today and instead of being the missing link is just missing. I don't think we're really title material, or won't be unless some things get sorted pretty soon, and that's disappointing, but there's a lot of the season still to be played and a lot more to come from these players imo. Its not like draws are uncommon results in derby games or anything, or that they are usually great barometers of anything, I remember the best attacking lfc side I saw play lose in the 30th game to Everton in '88. We weren't that bad today, we just didn't have enough men in the box and our final ball was often poor. People are seriously, and sometimes unpleasantly, over-reacting imo.

Sounded like we just couldn't bury the ball into the net to me - not end of world.

Im not just scapegoating kuyt for today but his performance today is typical of him.he is just a very limited striker who's playing on the wing !!! The mind boggles as to why he keeps his place there

we need to find a solution to break down teams who are set up to defend.
we've struggled from day one against these tactics and i'm disappointed the staff haven't found a solution, a plan b if you like.
moreover, we hardly threaten from corners which is nothing new and we've become a bit sloppy in defence lately.
but where there's a will there's a way, isn't it? keep the faith all you defeatist ****wits

None of that changes the fact that your comments about him were entirely out of order, and still are verging on it. Nobody said he was a world-beater, but he puts in a shift for the team and never hides. One could easily call your semi-gleeful intent to rip into a liverpool player at any given opportunity "woeful". Trying to blame that result on one player, who didn't even have a bad game overall, is just agenda driven and verging on the moronic. Who would you suggest we had played there instead today then?

That old adage - 'puts a shift in' Thats as bad as working his socks off. He was bought as a second striker, not good enough, put on right wing, not good enough. So what is his best position? Right back wouldn't be a bad place for him. Then again, he lacks pace to do anything.

You are right, he didn't have a bad game. He had a piss poor game.

Play El Zhar or Babel on the right. Why was Riera on the bench? We needed width today against a rigid Everton side yet Benitez plays a make shift hard working support striker at right wing where we need guile and pace. As I said, there have been more poor buys from Benitez than good ones.

                                Knee jerk.

However, since Rafa's rant. United have won all their games (5), we haven't won one of ours (3). It's frustrating.
