If he or some other had made the transfer the other way, they would proberly have done the exact same, the other way around.

well you cant say all liverpool fans treated him like ****e - which is a sweeping remark

personally i didnt like the fella and didnt want him to join and i genuinely beleived he feigned injury sometimes


the fact he raced across half of the ataturk stadium to celebrate winning the cl after hobbling off barely able to walk didnt help

but as i say its my personal opinion

And i severly doubt he feigned injury, but he did probably feel things more...i know when i started playing again after breaking my ankle, the slightest knock or twinge and the alarm bells would ring.

If i recall, Carra was cramping up severely towards the end of that game, and was barely able to hobble, yet he was the first on to the corner after the winning penalty went in.

I think we have all seen games between English and Turkish teams in Europe and been very impressed by the atmosphere, it almost rivals the kind of atmosphere that Anfield reserves for the special occasions.

Personally, I can not comment any further on this. But I do know a few Turks and they say that a nomal league game is almost just as passionate and the derby games (of which there are many) are sometimes even more so.

Compare that to Anfield in the league and I can see where Kewell is coming from, especially when he had the dogs abuse from a part of the crowd.

I know of people who finished a race or game of football with a broken leg, on pure adrenaline. Having said that I would not expect everyone to be capable of doing this, Kewell was certainly not a gladiator in that sense.

To be fair to Kewell, he had about 100 minutes or so for the injury to start to calm, and icing it would probably have numbed the pain out by the time he bagan to run across the pitch. I did not see his injury but everyone has said that he could not really have played on, though maybe there were more than likely times when he should have made himself available for team selection, hence Rafa getting pissed off with him.
