At least we have the Champions League :whatever:

At least we come second even though we were ahead of United in December by eight points :whatever:

Yeah fair enough, the vitriol is just frustration boiling over though... sometimes you just want to vent after watching us throw away another 3 points and more times then not (or at least to me it seems) the blame can be laid at Rafa's door.

I think it's time for a new manager. Seriously.

I'd love to see Sammy Lee in there! A bit more steel than Roy Evans but loves that style of play.

Serious post: Can anyone please explain to be who this guy Lucas is? Is he actually a professional footballer? Seriously...how did Benitez spend 8 million on this guy? What does he do??? From my point of view, he has no redeeming features as a footballer. He runs around and gives free kicks away. He doesn't try hard, he doesn't look like he cares. He doesn't look like he wants to play for the club. Compare him to Kuyt - Kuyt is a limited footballer but he works his ass off and its clearly evident that he has alot of respect for the club and shirt. He's proud to wear it. I have no beef with him. Lucas on the other hand annoys me intently. Every player who puts on that jersey should have pride. Please someone tell me what Lucas does for the team. What did Benitez see in him to waste so much money?

By the way, where you see Lucas above you can also input Dossena. The Fat Italian Plumber.

This might seem very harsh on Rafa but does anybody think the reason behind us playing such nice football around the Newcastle\Bolton matches is because Sami was in charge while Rafa was out with Kidney stones and the players were allowed play with a bit more freedom then usual?

Can he not see that this sort of mentality is going to cost us a shot at the title? Attack is the best form of defence!
I really believe he has a plan. He's just trying to do it his tried and tested, albeit in a different league, methods. Just like Fergie did during his first, and barren, seven years.

He's intelligent, very well respected by some of the key figures in the football world and passionate about Liverpool the city, the football team, the culture and history.

He's undeserving of a large percentage of the comments and uneducated opinions on here. I'm finding it hard, but I can't do anything other than have belief in him and watch and hope that he gets it right.

He's Our manager, he's a winner and a legend, as far as i'm concerned. Obviously.

I'm off for a long time now, won't be back on here.

I can't fully support the club when I feel this way about the manager. The thing is, I don't mind the poor displays when they happen and we all have differences of opinions normally, but that tonight was unjustifyable. Its as clear as night and day to me, that was just pure madness, he's lost it. We've been pretty poor since November really, thankfully Chelsea and the Mancs have been too, and some how we found our way to the top for a bit. I've stuck up for Rafa in the past and also questioned some of his decisions, but they've always been what I'd called marginal decisions (I know what I would've done, but I'm not really sure it would've made a great difference), but tonight, well, this is the first time I can 100% say he cost us the game. It was like watching my misses take control of Fifa on the 360.

I cannot offer him support and I don't like what I've been saying about him this evening so I'm going to do as my mother used to tell me and say nothing at all, I'm not going to be a hypocrite.

Signing off for a final time.

He wasn't as bad as some are making out IMHO. He showed some lovely glimpses of vision and he clearly has the ability to see THAT pass. If he continues to improve, I think we might have a good, if not special player.

Yes, he gave the peno away, but some of the best defenders in the game make the same mistakes, especially when the team as a whole look so nervous.

Lucas, along with a fair few others, need to find some self-belief and confidence at the moment. If anything, it's in this area that Rafa seems to fall short for me.

thats one of the most annoying things about the man. just let them go on and do their job. surely when you get to this standard you don't need telling exactly which blade of grass to step on.

Whats most galling is I got led along by the good start to the season. I feel cheated. It'd feel better if we were 4th and 15 points adrift like usual. Because it's been so long each season it gets worse and just when you feel like giving up, we find ourselves top and people are talking about us as challengers and then, some cunt pulls the rug from your feet.

7 Years ago I wanted Mr O'Neill. I still do. Why would he come now? 10 seasons of two defensive foreign managers later lets go for someone that chooses a team to **** the opposition off the pitch. I want them running out at Anfield feeling 10ft high, smashing all before them. **** europe.

That is really sad mate. No matter how bad we have played recently aren't we entitled to have bad patch this season? And despite everything we are only 2 points off top spot. 2 points!!!

It is at times like this we need a bit of luck, a decent result and thinks can spark off again.
