I thought so too. He was stupid to get sent off though, although as has been mentioned his first yellow was very harsh. He certainly played better than Alonso did.
Was a **** fest of a game - regardless of whether it was a "typical derby" it was horrible to watch.
Torres should have gone off a lot earlier than he did, he was really struggling out there.
Some of our fans were cunts as well, throwing all that **** onto the pitch.

My overall feeling right now is meh.

I'm going to do a MrsB and say:

      Come on Villa!

Dunno about 'well', he was ok and did most of the simple stuff ok. Didnt have any real impact that affected the game, apart from getting sent off.

I honestly think people judge him by the standards he's set himself so far, which are very low.

This result didn't even register 1 on my anger scale compared to a 9 when we drew to them in the league. Meaningless game, meaningless result. Bad injury problem though.

I'm more worried about Gerrard and possibly Torres.

Keane would have ran around for 60 minutes getting knocked off the ball then when he got subbed kick up a stink and storm off!

                    I realise it's a long shot.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Mind you.tricky to do when your attack consists of 1 good striker with a limp, and a couple of dutchmen with the eye for goal equal to I don;t ****ing know what..
Rafa knew he was selling Keane a good few days before the window shut why oh why did he not buy someone?

Do you know what, **** it. We lost end of. Fair do's to Everton on winning, we didn't deserve it over the course of both games.

And before anyone starts bashing Lucas. Yeah it was a bad foul but his first card was a bit harsh. I think he has the potential to succeed at this club. Some positives were that we held on that for long, the guys played well but it was just too much in the end. It was inevitable that they'd score. Also the support tonight by the travelling fans was excellent. You are all a testament to this club.

Lets look to the future now. Lets get them cunts in a few weeks at their own place the ****ers.
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

How can you say that it's a meaningless game? It's the FA Cup FFS, does that mean that our final wins in this cup are also meaningless?

Torres was far to isolated when Gerrard went off.

We're just missing a spark at the moment, Riera was great for us out on the left at the start of the season a real breath of fresh air. But he has settled down into this lazy **** of a player, how many times did he take Hibbert on tonight and put in a decent cross? And then caps off his display by casually strolling off.

We can now have a greater focus on the league and also the champions league. Next up against a struggling Pompey!
