We're anxious to do well in Europe, and if we end up as champions I will be capable of anything.

We'll see who's scared when Masch gets at him.

The prick won't even get a game. Madrid are starting to play well but in a weaker league than us and they have not been tested recently by a big club.

We will go to Madrid without Gerrard probably and we will make it tough for them and not let them play. I would expect us to have Gerrard back for the 2nd leg and beat them at anfield. Good to hear though that they are underestimating us, i would have thought most teams had learned by now

He can only be credited as a know **** all about football type of guy.Anyone that speaks of Liverpool without acknowledging Liverpool as a team of real pedigree is a fool.

At the end of the day he plays for Real madrid so he has to big them up.But to not show respect to the team who has the best record in the last 5 years in this competition is the comments of a fool imo.

I wouldnt say that, the way Barca are playing no one wants to be against them either.

I have watched madrid a fair few times this season, and have no concerns. I am really excited by this tie. It's massive and the one I wanted when the group stages finished. In the last 10 years I have seen us play Barca, Roma, Inter, Ac, Juve, Valencia, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc etc etc in Europe but I have never seen Liverpool vs Real Madrid. - this is what European Competition is all about.

As i said, i'm not worried, having watched them, basically Robben is running the show for them. Stick mascherano on him and if we have gerrard and torres fit, i think we will beat them. At the same time, they are two MASSIVE games that will get a bit of buzz going around Anfield whether we win or lose. and if we lose to Real Madrid, well there is no shame in that, they are probably the biggest and most successful side in the world

Well yeah maybe it's worded wrong - obv i'll be gutted if we lost. but I could accept it compared to say, when we drew Benfica in 2nd round about 2/3 years ago? everyone was made up, dead cert we would beat them and that we had got the easiest draw we could have -

and then played ****ing terrible, the home leg was dire, no atmosphere, and we got knocked out by a team we were all expecting to walk over! que all the ****ing mancs and blue****e taking the piss cause we got beat by benfica.

Well, I must confess I do prefer to draw the big teams too. When we got Barca the other year when they were the supposed to be the best in the world I was delighted. Not only does it give you more to look forward to (especially over the break), we generally raise our game and I fancy our chances more.

yeah exactly - i always prefer being the lesser fancied team - in a way thats why i prefer the position in the league now. The pressure just seems to have lifted slightly compared to a month ago when we were top and everyone seemed out to get us, it got a bit much i reckon, i'd be quite happy to be second favourites for the league and too push united all the way before knicking it in the last 2-3 games.
