IF Kuyt had a Dani Alves type making overlapping runs then he'd be the bees, however we haven't so it's either buy a more attacking fullback or replace Kuyt with a more dynamic right sided attacker.
    We come not to play.

I may be going a bit loopy Imy, but I reckon Arbeloa has played that role very effectively this season.

I like Arbeloa, he's been really solid this season and on the whole has cut out the stupid mistakes he used to make, he does overlap but he's certainly not in the same calibre as Alves, Ashley Cole, Evra or a young Cafu.

See how high Dossena plays up (yes i know he can't defend, run etc to save his life ) but thats what we really need, two full backs running up and down and providing the width and crossing whilst the likes of kuyt tucks in.

Either that or as i mentioned before we buy a very dynamic right sided midfielder who can get past a man, cross a ball, do something unpredictable to open up a game and keep solid arbeloa at right back.
        We come not to play.

Think that's why we're constantly linked with Johnson.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I agree, especially towards the end.
I actually think Kuyt is beginning to believe in himself more again which is good for us. He seems himself as a match winner now.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

I think Kuyt gets alot of stick not because of the player he is but because of the player he isn't. In many ways he's an easy target when the team is lacking some creativity or pace to open up defences you look at the wide players and say that's where the problem lies. For me the problem lies all though the midfield where we lack creativity
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

This guy is useless, can't pass, control, cross, shoot..... slow as ****!
Complete waste of 10 mil. No where good enough to play for us.
FFS even the likes of Everton, City, Villa, Spurs would laugh if we
offered him to them... Never mind any of the big teams..

Kuyt is a player of average ability in the Prem, but his commitment and work rate and attitude are first class. I wouldn't mind this so much if we had a top notch left winger on the other side. To have two average wingers is just not enough. Kuyt offers a shed load of industry and work ethic, but we need someone who can beat a man and actually create something out of nothing on at least one flank.

                      Think he means Glen Johnson.

Many, many managers would love to have him in their squad. He's far better than you make out.

What do you think? Isn't it obvious Rafa rates him very highly?

Surely it's glaringly obvious to a man such as your good self. He's a huge fan of Kuyt.

How does Kuyt compare to Park, who seems to get regular playing time at United? People seem to be of the opinion that Kuyt would not make it into any of the top four sides, yet i would consider him to be a much better player than Park??
