Benni was excellent overall but he still needs to release the ball earlier and as mentioned before he needs to learn to shoot early. Great little header mind!!

I completely disagree.Originally posted by Matt View PostOne of the best players in a red shirt tonight, regardless of his well taken goal.
I wish he'd be a bit more selfish around the box and take a shot on every once in a while but he's looking once again like a very valuable squaddie.
He frustrates the hell out of me. Rarely passes the ball, too greedy (why take a man on once when you can beat him three times and lose the ball).
For every good thing he does, I think he does at least two bad things.
However, he does have a knack of scoring goals, which is obviously important, and that's why plays. He also took his goal well last night.
I don't think he would get into the team of any of the other 'big 4' teams.
Given the choice of Benayoun or Luis Garcia (also a frustrating player), I'd go for Luis Garcia every time.Oh I don't know.

I'd never mock psychic dreams.Originally posted by RedReet View PostMock all you want, but my psychic dreams are very reliable. Only problem was, we were playing NAC Breda.
True story - mate of mine (supports Newcastle
) told me, on the morning of 25th May 2005, that he'd dreamed Alonso scoring our third goal in the 60th minute in the game to come that night. He'd assumed we would be winning the game to have scored 3 as he couldn't remember anything else other than that - Alonso, third goal, 60th minute.
We all know what happened. I didn't really notice him almost fainting when it did, I was a bit busy screaming like a girl with everyone else, but it is what he told me that morning.
So, the moral of the story must be; if we get to the final this year, put everything you own on Benayoun scoring mate

During the game last night, honest to God, after about 20 minutes of the game I said we would win 1 nil and score in the 82nd minute as we did in Paris 81.... what was the time of Benni's goal?

I never trust specific ones I have. On 25th May I probably had about 50 dreams about the final (although in saying that, I probably wouldn’t if I supported Newcastle).
It’s the random ones that are triggered the next day by something that strike me. The Benayoun one was remembered when defending his signing (before he’d even kicked a ball for us) in a thread that was slating him. The abuse reminded me of Smicer, which made me remember the dream, hence the sig.
I had a dream earlier in the season that a work mate told me to bet Shakhtar because they are always overpriced away from home. Again oblivious to the dream, when in work that day that same person was talking about McGovern’s bet of the day, which turned out to be Shakhtar away from home at 7/2 I think. (Think it was the CL qualifier when I had no reason to be dreaming about Shakhtar). Low and behold, Shakhtar won. Very strange.
I’m not supposed to be gambling anymore, but when we get to the final this year, I’ll have to lump on Benni. After all, technically it’s not a gamble. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

After 20 minutes I realised there is no way Madrid will beat us over 2 legs.Originally posted by Tee View PostDuring the game last night, honest to God, after about 20 minutes of the game I said we would win 1 nil and score in the 82nd minute as we did in Paris 81.... what was the time of Benni's goal?
The goal was definitely around that time.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

right - i may have mentioned this ages ago - but i went through a spell were every now and then i'd have a very bizarre random dream, and i'd be at the game it would be vague but i remember waking up and sy alonso had scored for us - i'd go the game and alonso scored first! I never but a bet on it
but it happened 3 times last season
anyway last night i had a dream that we were 1-0 down and going out of europe in the san siro when John Arne Riise went on a hell of run from left back, it all just opend out in front of him and he drilled it across the keeper hard and low ino the far corner from the edge of the box
You heard it hear first
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
