We don't need to win every game if United slip up. Let's wait and see. United have just lost Rafael for the rest of the season. (Edit: it's not for the rest of the season according to Fergie but up to a month)Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWe basically need to win every game - not going to happen.Last edited by Guest; 28-02-09, 02:53 AM.

Not beyond the realms though is it? I reckon we can afford 1 draw. Besides, in our first two seasons under Rafa I remember us going on pretty big winning runs in the 2nd half of the season. It's about now that we start looking head and shoulders above teams fitness wiseOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostWe basically need to win every game - not going to happen.Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

Wasn't it after we beat Inter last season that we went on a ridonkulous run? You never know.....Originally posted by wiw View PostNot beyond the realms though is it? I reckon we can afford 1 draw. ..and what if right - Rafa is such a genius that he timed his outburst so that Utd would over-do it and knacker themselves out that little bit more in the games following it. Just at the crucial time.. bam! Injuries happen, form drops and they hit the wall, ****ing up just enough, allowing us to storm to a famous title

12 games to play and it's a bloody lot. It doesn't give us a lot of margin for errors but I can't see United winning this league at a canter, I really can't see it.

I still love the fact that you came down to London with you Liverpool scarf in tow

****sake can't believe you slept on the beachOriginally posted by Reggie View PostAbsolutely.
A bright red scarf is completely subtle. In a kind of "I'll be the one wearing the red carnation" kind of way
You're telling me it was cold anyway? It sure was on Brighton beach

It is subtle! It's red, so what..who would know?!

Amen Bother .. It really is as simple as that .. I've been saying to fellow footie sado's I have no problems saying when fair play United played the best football that season they deserve to win the title and that usually has been the case .. not this season though. They have been very very lucky .. 1-0's all over the place ..the usual petrified referees etcOriginally posted by DeeTheDog View PostShould we beat both Middlesborough and Sunderland and the Mancs somehow conspire to lose against Newcastle, we could go into the game against United knowing a win would put us top by two points (albeit they would still have a game in hand).
Our title aspirations could rest in the North East. The Geordies have already drawn away in Manchester, so let us pray.
But I think we can take them at old Trafford .. but we really now need to go on a run There really is zero room for errors ... anything but 3 points against Borro and we are out of it ... Win those games and Jose Dicks them in the CL .. then it if very very much on
Dare to believe !!!

sadly i think it's more likely that we'll slip up against Boro or Sunderland. We'll find Boro hard to breakdown especially with no recognised striker and Cisse will score against us.Originally posted by DeeTheDog View PostShould we beat both Middlesborough and Sunderland and the Mancs somehow conspire to lose against Newcastle, we could go into the game against United knowing a win would put us top by two points (albeit they would still have a game in hand).

The fitness thing is highly exaggerated, for me.
