Kewell was never word class for us due to injury even though he arguably had it in him.

I personally wouldn't rate Hyppia or Hamann as world class but it's something we could argue over all day and noone would ever be right or wrong.

I would because they play in Hamann's role but both have aspects of their game which is among the best in the world.

Alonso's passing game is world class as is Mascher's defensive game. Hamann was good at everything but not 'brilliant' at anything if you know what I mean.

You could argue that Hamanns defensive positioning/work was brilliant. Hard to find conclusive evidence, other than watching the games.

last season for sure but this year he has been sadly lacking in many of the attributes that made him world class.
