That was an ok performance against a struggling side.

They're not struggling. Before last night they'd lost 1 in their last 6 and that was against Villa. They'd also held Arsenal at the Emirates in that run.

Credit where it's due FFS mate. There's no easy game in the PL and after a quiet first half we did well in the second and easily deserved the points.

That was an ok performance against a struggling side. There was no period where Ngog was consistently putting them under pressure.

He did better than I expected, he did get better as the game progressed, but it really was nothing worthy of anything better than ok for player at LFC.

I don't want this to start me being an Ngog basher, because I thought he did ok. Just that I did not see the level of performance that some of you guys seem to have seen.

I think he was good, not amazing or brilliant, but certainly good. Better than ok.

He was a threat, held the ball up, linked and got 1 goal & 1 assist - what would he have to do to get a 7/10?

Like I said, benny was MOM and for me he deserved 7/10. If Ngog's performance was against a better side (one of the top 4 clubs) then I would've given him 6.

He needed to convert one of those early chances.

I really honestly cannot believe that people are talking about that being a 7/10 performance for a player at this club! Its insane.

Couple of half chances, where he scuffed his shot/didnt connect properly. And the header.

Not exactly dripping with glorious chances, and not a big problem that he took 30-45 mins to start finding his feet.

He strikes me as the kind of player who could flourish, if he maintains his confidence. That little flick in the first half was nice to see - not because i'm a fan of flicks, because they very rarely amount to anything of substance. But it was nice to see someone doing something that falls outside the usual rigid and predictable stuff we often do. Showed good self belief too.

Fair play to the lad, he's worthy of getting a few chances in the side where possible.

That's fair I'd say. He wasn't amazing but he certainly did well and the only chance he should have scored he did. If he carries on doing that he'll be a decent asset.

5/10 my arse! Even if he was pure turd in between the goal and the assist, which he wasn’t, he wouldn’t get a paltry five out of ten purely because he notched a goal and an assist FFS!

Ngog gave a rock solid 7/10 performance last night. I thought it was a real pity Rafa took him off actually, as after the goal he visibly grew in confidence and the lad was buzzing. Strange decision to take him off at that time, IMO.
