Re Boo boys are letting down our reputation

Well I have to say what an excellent piece, and sentiments I echo. I am curious who are these boo boys. Are they just that a bunch of prepubescent boys brought up in the instant satisfaction generation or is it some older lads who are the shamed few.

I do not have the privilege to go see my beloved Liverpool FC play week in week out and I was wondering to the fans who do, who are these people and are any of them on these boards.

I have to say it annoys me no end the ammount of personal abuse chucked at players and I feel perhaps this latest development is probably and spill over from internet forums such as these. As much as I love this distfunctional place ........

Actually have to run .. will finish this later in meantime opinions welcome

Whilst I don't agree with booing at the end of the game, if people really feel the need to get their frustrations off of their chest then I guess that is the time to do it. But to boo a player when he comes on is just utterly small minded and petty. What good do these morons actually think it is going to do?

Talks about the boos being targeted at Lucas but i'm sure some was towards Benitez to.

Well yes because in essence they are booing his decision to bring Lucas on. Again what on earth do they thing it will achieve? They should no that Rafa sticks to his guns and is not going to be swayed by mindless booing.

Great piece. It is an absolute disgrace and a bloody embarrassment.

It's certainly a very tiny minority, but Anfield hasn't been particularly noisy of late and the grumbling can be heard above the virtual silence. It's embarrassing, but to overcome this problem the players can perform to the best of their ability and the crowd can get behind the team. Lucas is a good player, but he's bound to be affected by the negativity.

Whilst I didn't boo him, I must admit I voiced my fustration with "FFS", and nigh on twenty odd thousand did the same. Yes a few did boo him, but anfield was so bloody quiet on Tuesday that you could have heard the fella six rows in front of me farting throughout and it was more prominent than usual.

For those who say its a recent thing - It's not - I can remember Nigel Spakman being booded and hounded, Michael Thomas, Phil Babb - I can go on. the vast majoirty of the time, people gets so pissed of with the lack of effort that they do boo.
I make no apologies, this is me

I might be wrong but I don't recall those players being booed when they came on though. Also it doesn't seem people are booing Lucas because of lack of effort but because they think he isn't any good.
                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I can recall Thomas and Babbb being booed on a regular basis. i think in the case of Babb it was beacause he was a ****** first and foremost.

Also, my fustrations are directed towards Rafa for bringing him on and I would hazard a guess that the boo's would have been directed at this decision also and not necessarily Lucas.

When Lucas was brought on against Madrid hand up those who thought - FFS - Don't do anything stupid ? - I did

Don't kid yourself they were booing Lucas. There was booing when his name was read out. As Neil Young says it's odd because he always works hard and never hides.

He gets stuck in now, but he was shirking tackles earlier in the season and nobody wants to see that. The murmuring comes from a minority, but it's time for them to reappraise Lucas and give him a chance. Booing our own gives an advantage to the opposing team, where's the sense in that?!
