    Mascherano

Booked tonight because the clown of a ref cant tell the difference between him and Alonso - and that booking means Mascher's suspended from the 1st leg of the quarters

Can anything be done or will that decision have to stand?

Could really do with him playing, especially if it's away.

I thought Mascherano's yellow was for kicking the ball away after the whistle had gone. I don't think there's anyhing we can do about that.

It was definitely for kicking the ball away ..silly card in a otherwise masterclass of a performance

If it was for this it is very harsh, as it was a split second after the ref had blown for a foul

It was a really poor decision, but the standard of refs was pretty low last night.

Monster Masch, goes from 0 to 100 in a less than a second.

Have to love his commitment even if it leads him to trouble from time to time.

He kicked the ball away because he was doing his job, not out of spite.

Whatever the motivation it is a bookable offense. Considering the wider context of the game I'm not sure how much it was doing his job either.

I agree although the way he kicked it looked a bit wild for an attempted pass/clearance.

Its hardly a bookable offense being a split second late though. He was already primed to boot the ball as the whistle was going. Crazy decision.

We've just got to hope we're drawn at home in the 1st leg next round, as we will need Monster for the away leg.

What an utterly awesome performance last night. I recall one occasion when he dwelled on the ball and got caught out. Other than that, plus the booking, it was a faultless performance.

I loved his reaction for the last goal. We are 3-0 up and score a goal in the last minute and he goes all bananas Fantastic stuff.

Love him to bits but regardless of whether the booking was right, he still hasn't learned to shut his mouth.
