Why on earth would Fifa want the English teams to draw each other so that it reduces the possibility of having all four English sides in the semis? That obviously increases the chance of having no English sides in the semis, even though that is highly unlikely.

If there were two all English ties in the quarters then that guarantess there will be at least 2 English teams in the semis.

The draw isn't fixed, whichever way you look at it, its the results of the games that will unltimately decide who gets through.

Even if all four of our teams were drawn against other countries, it would mean one team would be playing Barca who are playing well and could put out any English side, the same with Bayern. Although I would fancy both Porto and Villareal to definitely go out at this stage unless drawn against each other.

I'd like us to play Villareal, then Porto in the semis and then beat Bayern in the final. I'd like Chelsea to play Manchester in the quarters and there to be bad-blood spilling over from nasty incidents in the first leg to an all-out bloodbath in the second, leading to Ferguson retiring in disgrace after getting involved in a 30-man on-field melee, and Liverpool going on to pinch the league on the last day. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so.

I hope we get Utd. We deserved to win both games against them this season and should have the psychological edge - putting them out would destabalise them big time imo - plus every ManUre player deserves to be defeated on a European night at Anfield before they retire - a Liverpool win might see Giggs, Scholes, Nevs et al confined to the glue factory.
