also if it had been 0-0Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI know what you're saying, that refs tend to bottle decisions at Old Trafford, and I agree that has been the case in the past. But most (not all) decisions that have been bottled could have had some element of doubt in them, but I just believe that that wasn't the case today.
The true test would have been if the decisions were not so clear cut. It may be that the ref had those comments in his mind and they may have affected him, so you may be correct. But I don't think you can judge the effect of those comments off the back of the decisions that had to be made today alone.

Rafa made his comments in the run up to their home game with Chelsea. There would have been a decent chance of the Mancs dropping points in that game, as long as the ref gave them a fair crack at it. So Rafa tried to put some pressure on him. It didn't work because Chelsea had a mare.Never knowingly optimistic

Oh yeah i'm sure that kind of bull**** happens quite frequently.Originally posted by jonymadness View Postwill be interesting to see if Wiley refs another one of their games soon. isnt there some 'facts' that once a ref gives a few decisions against them that he does not ref their games again... Did rafa say that in his rant? rem reading it somewhere.
I said this at the time but it was about time someone stood up to Ferguson and Utd....'Rafa's rant' was fully justified and logical. 4-1 FACT

"Through me the way into the suffering city,
Through me the way to the eternal pain,
Through me the way that runs among the lost.
Justice urged on my high artificer;
My maker was divine authority,
The highest wisdom, and the primal love.
Before me nothing but eternal things were made,
And I endure eternally.
Abandon every hope, ye who enter here."
And like that… he's gone

That's a nonsensical conclusion to reach.
Considering how few teams go there and spend significant amounts of time in United's box, it's not at all shocking that they dont concede many pens.

He has a point Craig. And that is not the only time.Originally posted by PoolG View PostYeah whatever.
Nobody ever goes there and attacks them for long.
Only a few weeks ago Blackburn had a strong shout in the dying minutes waved away.
But your right,as usual
But I guess we'll never know if it had any impact - on our results or on the referee.Forwards.......

It's no wonder they rarely get pens given against them at OT when you consider what a fuss they kick up whenever one is awarded against them - anyone remember them hounding the referee halfway round the pitch against Boro a few years ago, or last year v Portsmouth in the Cup?White liquid in a bottle = Milk
