them Going to fulham next week will tell us all we need to know
They have the following remaining fixtures:

    Saturday 21st March 2009
    Fulham v Man Utd 15.00
Could get a good response from Fulham after ManU battered them 0-4 last week in the cup.

    Sunday 05th April 2009
Man Utd v Aston Villa 16.00
Villa have been really good on the road and have the potential to sit back and hit them on the counter attack

    Saturday 11th April 2009
    Sunderland v Man Utd 15.00
Sunderland in a relegation dog-fight so hopefully will look to avenge their 91st minute loss at old trafford.

    Sunday 19th April 2009
    Man Utd v Everton 16.00
FA Cup match but adds to their fixture congestion. Hope its a draw to force a replay.

    Wednesday 22nd April 2009
    Man Utd v Portsmouth
    Will be a home banker.

    Saturday 25th April 2009
    Man Utd v Tottenham 17.30
Hopefully Spurs still involved in the relegation battle so they give it 100%.

    Saturday 02nd May 2009
    Middlesbrough v Man Utd 15.00
Borough always have a funny habit of getting a result against the top teams.

    Saturday 09th May 2009
Man Utd v Man City 15.00
Man City would love to put a spanner in the works. They also have some top attacking players.

    Saturday 16th May 2009
    Man Utd v Arsenal 15.00
Wenger loves beating ManU, and have saved their best results for the top teams this season

    Sunday 24th May 2009
    Hull City v Man Utd
Hopefully Hull will need the result, but unfortunately i think they will be safe by then so ManU will have a stroll in the park.

I know its all a lot of if's and but's, however im trying to look at it with the glass half full approach!

We can but I don't think we will. Call me deluded but I think - at least when we're hot - we're the best team in the league. No-one can live with us when we're in this mood. We all know what our problem has been (a reverse of the usual) and we blew it. This season we've beaten Chelsea home and away, Real Madrid home and away and the Mancs home and away.

Couldn't beat Stoke though. Never mind that, we couldn't ****ing score against them.

On our day we can beat anyone, particularly over two legs.

I remember under Evans in the 90's we had the same problem. We would regularly turn it on against ManU, Newcastle, Villa, Leeds & Arsenal. However we always seemed to get the odd dodgy result against the likes of Coventry & Wimbledon.

We need to win all our remaining matches and if we do I think we'll win the league. Problem is, we have a tougher run in compared to United and we're dependent on Torres and Gerrard keeping fit and on top form.

Can be done yes, but we have to be realistic and hope for the best.

We have to win all 9 games and i dont think it'll happen.

If the mancs drop points at Fulham next week, and (for a change) we then take advantage, it'll become interesting. But i think they'll win it.

Fulham owe us one after bending over at Old Toilet.

I refuse to accept that we can't win it until it is mathematically impossible.

Obviously United are favourites but I don't see any point in being pessimistic at this point. We have a chance and for now that will do for me.

Craig H, you need to ammend your league table in your signature now as ManU have now lost at home

I've not really looked at that for ages.

                    Changed it for you.

I'll not give up until it's impossible. But............

I can seriously see Man Utd dropping points, which gives us a chance. However, I just can not see us winning all our remaining games. With Gerrard and Torres fit it's possible.

However this weeks results have not yet proved anything. We knew prior to thia that we were capable of out playing and beating the best teams. We'd already done it to Chelsea twice and beaten the Mancs at home.

What our team are yet to prove is that they can beat the lower sides on a regular basis. Both Real Madrid and Man Utd came out to play against us, as did Chelsea. We are a fantastic counter attacking side that play very well when given the space to do so.

When a team has sat back we have struggled to get through. When we start thrashing those kinds of team I will say with more sincerity that we can win the league.

Maybe we'll be better placed to judge after ours and Uniteds next game.
                        Forwards.......

                          Dare we believe?

Why does being a Liverpool fan have a serious impact on your heart?

Why can we never win the FA Cup (2001 & 2006), League Cup (2001), UEFA Cup, European Cup with out minimum fuss! Its always coming back from behind or sensational last minute winners, or penalties. Our cub have to send us through every possible emotion first!

I thought it was done and dusted, but i can picture Rafa stroking his gotee right now! My hopes are up al over again to win the title, and i promised myself i wouldn't do that!

I think tomorrow's game will be massive, we have to win or the scum's defeat today means nothing. The Fulham victory could inspire us or put us under pressure to try and capitalise. We could learn alot about our team tomorrow, a win could give us another confidence boost and would have us breathing down Uniteds neck
