And I'm not so sure about him being the worst centre back for a decade either. Surely Traore and Biscan gave him a run for his money for that claim? And when did we get rid of Frode Kippe? He's a definite contender though, you could turn an oil tanker quicker by the time he played for us.
Also worth remembering Diao played CB for us.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

tbh, I think the senior players would respect this.

He was bought in to help teach the zonal system and also the few times he played he allowed sami to have a rest which contributed to the good season that he had.
According to the offical (vs Juve)...

'Hyypia was only playing because Mauricio Pellegrino couldn't, but he returned to partner Jamie Carragher in the centre of defence and made a vital contribution at both ends of the pitch.'

I can't remember this, but without Sami that day I don't think there would ever have been any medals to pick up.

And where might LFC be today???

I think Pellegrino was brought into the club as a player to help Rafa teach the players the zonal marking system

Carra speaks well of him in his book if that's the sort of thing you mean.
