This season seems like a reflection of his Valencia league winning season!

Now this is the secret of how to beat the crappy teams, the good teams and the great teams!

Interesting to see Redknapp proclaim that Gerrard is the 'no doubt the best player in the world in that position'. Kind of acknowledging that Rafa has been right all along by playing him there when he, along with all of the Sky pundits, constantly used it as a stick to beat him with for not playing him in centre midfield.

It'll be interesting to hear and watch what they'd all have to say if we won the title. Would zonal marking be the new way forward? Rafa a tactical genius? Playing two deep sitting midfielders a masterstroke? Would they finally praise him for our success or would it simply be all down to Gerrard and Torres and the Scum throwing it away?

We played excellently today without really hitting full stride and if we can keep our first 11 fit and firing we'll have the best chance of winning the title in years and years.
If we win the title, you just watch those those ****ers say we were lucky and the Mancs gave it to us. We will get no credit at all from that bunch of monkeys.

It'll be bum time, and not just for Fergie if we win the title.

What a fantastic result - the pressure was really on us this time, early on in the season we struggled to take advantage when other teams slipped up so this is another massive turning point for our season.

Psychology plays a huge part in sport and against the back drop of them losing 2 games on the trot, this result will have delivered as massive hammer blow to Man Utd. You can bet they will have been watching our game, hoping to see some weakness in our performance - a focus to deflect from their own short comings.

Now Fergie and his players have 2 whole weeks to worry and fret where it all went wrong, 2 whole weeks thinking about our last 3 results where we have utterly destroyed the oppostition.

The seeds of doubt have been sown and now nurtured, I don't think the international break will help them at all.

That's the kicker, it could go either way. 2 weeks to stew or 2 weeks to get over it.

Unfortunately I think it'll be the latter, but at least the dream still alive

                Yes, that's it exactly!

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Here's a question for the statisticians.

Has any team ever put 4 goals or more past 3 former European Cup Holders in consecutive matches????

Answers on a postcard to Andy Gray C/- Sky Sport

Fantastic result. Somewhat miffed that Friedel got sent off considering they play United next. Other than that a pretty perfect weekend.

Shreeves simply doesnt dare speak to other managers the way he does to Benitez either, stupid questions, patronising, the lot. It always Ferguson throwing the tantrums yet if Benitez ****ed these off they could have no complaints at all.

What is it next? His dress sense, how he doesnt wear a top with the club badge on like the great Martin O''Neill? The criticism is absolutely relentless.
I noticed that Man U, with Vidic suspended, made 4 other changes from the team that played us. They then got stuffed by a team that a week or two ago was in the relegation fight and yet ... and yet.... not a single criticism of Ferguson for "rotation". Funny that, isn't it? If we'd left one of our best players on the bench, like they did with Rooney in the first half, Rafa would have been absolutely slaughtered by the media.

It seems old whiskey nose is exempt from criticism for rotation. Or pretty much anything come to think of it. All the broadcasters are **** scared of him boycotting interviews etc like he's done with the BBC cos he didnt like their questions. If any other manager was as mardy as this (esp Benitez) they'd be hung out to dry by the press.

Anyway back on point Utd constantly seem to select different midfields and regularly make 3,4,5 changes to the team. I bet if we looked at the stats this year Fergie has rotated WAY more than Rafa. Some might argue he has greater strength in depth so can get away with it more but Rafa is criticised for rotation even when we win and incredibly when we're playing a full strength side and playing well....'if only he played his best side more often' etc etc

Some commentators have even criticised Rafa for rotating Gerrad and Torres this season. The only games they've missed have been when they've been injured FFS!
