Thanjk you.

I noticed that Man U, with Vidic suspended, made 4 other changes from the team that played us. They then got stuffed by a team that a week or two ago was in the relegation fight and yet ... and yet.... not a single criticism of Ferguson for "rotation". Funny that, isn't it? If we'd left one of our best players on the bench, like they did with Rooney in the first half, Rafa would have been absolutely slaughtered by the media.
Interesting to see Redknapp proclaim that Gerrard is the 'no doubt the best player in the world in that position'. Kind of acknowledging that Rafa has been right all along by playing him there when he, along with all of the Sky pundits, constantly used it as a stick to beat him with for not playing him in centre midfield.
It'll be interesting to hear and watch what they'd all have to say if we won the title. Would zonal marking be the new way forward? Rafa a tactical genius? Playing two deep sitting midfielders a masterstroke? Would they finally praise him for our success or would it simply be all down to Gerrard and Torres and the Scum throwing it away?
We played excellently today without really hitting full stride and if we can keep our first 11 fit and firing we'll have the best chance of winning the title in years and years.
Is that his 'new' position?
I’ve stopped trying to get annoyed by the media, but they never cease to amaze me. A coupe of draws and all of a sudden we are the most boring team with the most negative formation in the world. A few (more) wins and now we’re the greatest.
I can accept this sort of crap from people in the streets, but so called ‘experts’ that are actually paid money for this.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
I dont think Ginsoak is 'exempt' from media criticism, but it's obviously a bit harder to criticise someone who's won ten PL titles. He's getting a bit of flak now though

I think there's a reluctance to 'let rip' against him or mock him when he does something petty, such as his lack of interviews, that wouldn't apply to other managers.

I havent watched the game back yet, but if that's true, it's ****ing pathetic.
I honestly think there's a bit of xenohphobia at work. Rafa's the funny little foreign man who speaks with a bit of an accent and he's come here to show the natives how it's done - him succeeding is two fingers upto all the little englanders out there and i get the distinct feeling that the whole little englander thing is endemic within Sky Sports.
Congratulations Craig, you get the prestige of my 1,000th post. To be fair, you should as about 500 of there were probably replying to threads that you high jacked arguing black is blue. Such as…
Claiming Rafa only gets bad press because he hasn’t won the league, once success comes his way, so too will the praise. You even openly mocked me, claiming I subscribed to all this anti-Rafa crap even though that wasn’t the case. You have now adopted the opinion that you insinuated I had.
‘Rafa gets stick because he's been here for a good few years now, has spent huge sums and has never come close to winning the PL.’
‘The majority of the stick IS about his failure to win the league. Because that's the consequence of all the perceived mistakes added up.’
‘From where i'm sitting, it seems like the only answer you seem like you'll ever comprehend or accept is that the whole media and press have it in for Rafa and Liverpool FC. So fine, take that as your answer then, regardless of how inexplicable it is.’
‘But your original question (feels like it was about a week ago now!) was why does he get so much criticism - and i answered it (also about a week ago ) by saying it's because he hasnt won the title, whilst Mourinho, Wenger and Ferguson have.’
How someone so argumentative and self-righteous can’t even maintain their own opinion or show consistency in their arguments (bar being negative) is beyond me. A few members have left Craig and you have tried hard filling their shoes, unfortunately you don’t cut it.
Don’t worry Mods, I’m not gonna let this escalate into another boring argument. Regardless of the reply, I’ve said my piece and that’s me finished (I know what's coming anyway, Rafa does get bad press because he hasn't won the league, so I'm right etc. etc. etc.) . Just couldn’t resist posting as Craig takes so much pleasure in picking holes in other peoples arguments.
FWIW, I don’t think what they said is even bad. It’s often mentioned how Rafa never celebrates and I found it interesting and amusing seeing his responses.

Possibly, but in not doing the interviews, he simply gives the press even more ammunition and the papers have been lapping it up. I dont think they're too gutted at his refusal to do interviews.
Other managers could do the same if they wanted to be as stupidly pigheaded and sore losers.
