Only to the extend that they have many more assests to loose before becoming "poor". Say GG and TH would go bankrupt long before the saudis does.

That said I don't know if we would be better of with Saudis at hand, would rather see some locals getting involved, but don't know if any investors have money enough, or if shareliverpoolfc will ever get there.

I think it's time we moved away from Carlsberg but I don't think we can be too choosy at a time when most companies are scaling back on corporate sponsorship.

What exactly is the problem with Carlsberg as a sponsor?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

My guess (other than people's dislike of the lager itself) is because it restricts us in certain markets around the world due to it being an alcoholic beverage.

Does it though? In terms of television coverage or replica shirt sales or something else?

Is there any evidence that the potential income we forego is anything other than minimal?

Stella is really very poor. But I suppose it does get you drunk more quickly.

I have no idea, it's just the objection that is bandied about the most

I actually quite like the fact that we have a long standing sponsor. As long as we get a good deal out of them I see no reason for not continuing with them. Plus I actually quite like Carlsberg lager

Perhaps someone who actually objects to Carlsberg could explain.

No idea but the fact it is restrictive should be cause for some concern and retailers in Muslim countries may not sell it. Purely speculation though, I know.

Off the top of my head I can't really think of another big side that are sponsored by an alcoholic drink.
