Also, our midfield offered no protection to our back. If it weren't for some **** finnishing, it could've ended 1-6, quite easily.

Regardless of which side of the Skrytel/Agger fence you sit I think most will agree it's time to give Agger a go.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Personally I'd play a fit Agger alongside Carra everyday.
Skrtel has, without doubt, area's of his game which need more improvement than most originally believed and I think this has become more apparent in the last month or so. Lets hope Sami is working closely with him but for me - A fit Agger must partner Carragher

Abso - fecking - lutely. He was immense. I don't think I've seen Carragher struggle so much with the strength of a player.

i've got a lot of friends and they all think skrtel should stay in the team. i asked them all today. why would most people agree its time for agger to be given a chance? on the back of one diffeet? thought skrtel was our best defender last night. fabio had a nightmare, arbs wasn't good and carra got owned, got nowhere near drogba all night.

This was very well highlighted yesterday, that when Gerrard is taken out of the game, the gap between Alonso and the front men is to big. Neither Carra nor Skrtel can take the ball forward, leaving alonso to go to far back to pick up the ball.

And it doesn't help that Aurelio played like pants and threw everything away, further reducing our chances of pushing the ball further up pitch.

And about the wingers, we where not helped by the fact that Kuyt can't create anything on his own I thought it was Kuyt's lovely back heel that fed Arbeloa to cross for Torres to score.Wasn't that to your liking then and Riera did not have the best of games.

Sometimes it's best to take a player out of the firing line. Especially when you have someone as good as Daniel Agger to replace him. Plus the return to the starting XI could sway Aggers decision to stay.
I agree. To leave Agger out after a performance like we just witnessed will be like shutting the door in the guys face IMO. If Sami gets the nod on Sat, Rafa is effectively saying that Dan is now 4th choice CB. He'll leave for sure if he's got any ambition. No-one who truly believes in themselves wants to be 4th choice even at a great club like Liverpool IMO.

I know he at times produces something, but that doesn't change the fact that he is not a good winger. Kuyt has many qualities, but getting past his direct opponent is not one of them.

I agree with you. He isn't an out and out winger in the true sense. I was mearlly correcting you as he did in fact play a very big part in our goal.

You could play Jamie and Martin in every game for the next five years and they wouldn't score a goal like Agger did today...

Agger has scored 6 goals for LFC and must have numerous assists to his name as well.

Yep I know Blackburn were woeful today anyway but at times we were relentless going forward and it helps greatly when you've got a player at the back that can go forward like he can.

The cramp at the end showed he was feeling it a bit but I think that's maybe the end of Skrtel's season.

                              Agger was immence today

We would be mad to let him leave us at any time, the way he brought the ball out of the defence today was surpurb at times and i thought Carra was more willing to go forward more too but maybe, i was dreaming whilst watching the game lol

                                They did today.

Of course I'm made up with the result and I'm as frustrated as you or anyone else when the media spouts the same old crap about another team not turning up but I think we had about 20 attempts to their 1. There were times in the second half when it was just too easy and we were trying to score picturebook goals.

Blackburn played a lot better when they lost at Old Trafford about 6 weeks ago.
