In the same vein as a similar reply to another of your threads, I think we need to be aware that not everyone thinks like we do. Ie, as posters on an LFC forum
For example, we're one of the most successful and celebrated football teams in the world, yes? So a total neutral, visiting Liverpool (the city) for the first time wants to go and see the majesty that is Anfield*
They dont support us, nor Chelsea, but they wanted to take in a game. So they do, and in the club shop where they want a memento of their time here, they see a scarf depicting the 2 teams they've just seen. As a neutral, why wouldn't they want that?? Makes sense to me
*I just got back from Barcelona and wanted to go to the Nou Camp to see a game. I dont support Barca or Bayern whom they played this week, but I still wanted to go. IF, and its an IF, I wanted a scarf to remember the trip by, there is zero reason why I shouldn't buy a scarf with both teams on.
Maybe the difference is because Liverpool is not traditionally seen as a holiday destination?
