On the subject of Carra and Skrtel, I think they did alright, alot better than at Anfield. They were rock solid in the first half. Personally I think they were let down on a couple of occasions by weak full backs.
Arbeloa and Aurelio looked decent in the first half, but Aurelio in particular was dreadfull in the second half. Everytime Lampard came late in the box, he was the one marking him, but instead of getting close he let Fat Frank just jog past him and hit it.
For the first goal Aurelio should never have let Anelka get in a cross from that position, but then he was not helped by Yossi, who after closing the ground on Anelka, eased of and left Aurelio to it.
Now ridiculous errors such as Reinas, and the dreadfull pass by Alonso have to be accepted as being part of football. But lazyness can not be excused, but it is probably the reason we are out.
Absolutely.
