We are scoring goals for fun and Arsenal are next. They can get ready.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I think our downfall was the fact we were always chasing the goals needed, it was always going to be the type of match were we were going to score but so would they because we had to push for it.

I think it turned on their first goal, as we became more desperate and gung-ho, if we could have held off the first goal for longer, we could have played it calmer and looked to sneak a 3rd and get the 3-0 win.

But once they got that, tails were up, but by god we frightened the shiite outta them, kept coming back again and again, NO OTHER TEAM IN THE WORLD could have came out and did what we did, we were so close to going 3-0 up just before end of first half.

And with minutes remaining we were still in it, ONLY LIVERPOOL!!

We deserve a trophy this season without any shadow of doubt, and as it's only the prem left, I'm praying our play upto now is rightly awarded, we've been superb.

For the first goal Aurelio should never have let Anelka get in a cross from that position, but then he was not helped by Yossi, who after closing the ground on Anelka, eased of and left Aurelio to it.

Now ridiculous errors such as Reinas, and the dreadfull pass by Alonso have to be accepted as being part of football. But lazyness can not be excused, but it is probably the reason we are out.
Bit harsh mate - If anyone should be tracking Lampard it should be Alonso/Lucas/Masha

Plus we were pushing on for more goals by that time and the full backs were knackered from the previous hour of bombing forwards.

And Reina had the ball covered were it not for the slightest of touches that allowed the ball to sneak in - 2 inches one way it's it his gloves, 2 inches the other way it hits the post!

I am no Lucas fan but the boy did good tonight.

And as for the Mascherano substitution well it just goes to show that Rafa can do no right in some peoples eyes.

The way I saw it was that we needed to score and play a attacking pressing game and Masch is the worlds best defensive midfielder.

I would imagine you would have said something like "ffs rafa, why leave our defensive midfielder on when we were chasing the game?"

                You just cant win.

I have been supporting him all season when others have been on here giving him loads of stick. I just don't see what he offers to the team or what he can offer in the future. Why not give some one like Spearing a go?
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

A better referee wouldnt have given the Rent Boys so many free kicks tonight IMO, but **** it. Its over now and we gave it our all. What more can you ask and Barca will tear them apart.

I think with a stronger Referee we would have gone through tonight, despite our errors. In fact, I reckon we would have had three by half time. Got to credit our players for not losing their rag and getting sent off. I was ready for driving to the bridge and having a go at him and Drogba.

I went into this game not wanting us to win, I wanted us to concentrate on the league, so I'm not unhappy about the result.

But ****ing hell. What a game. Well done lads.

For the first - Pepe thought they would both miss it and was in position ready to scoop up the ball. Drogba got his toe to it a wrong footed Pepe, who was scramblin backwards. To be fair it was a mistake but 9 times out of 10 it wouldn't have gone that way. The worst thing about it is that it will be replayed time and time again as a howler and I don't think that it was.
                        Fair play!!!

The turning point for me was their first goal.

It was a big mistake by Reina, put the Chavs back on top and gave them a great deal of confidence. We had been very comfortable up to then but never completely regained our composure afterwards.

Obviously you would have expected the Chavs to improve in the second half anyway but gifting them a goal so early in the half gave them a huge boost. I firmly believe that if Reina had caught that we would have gone on to win.

The real shame for me is that in the last two years to individual errors from Riise and Reina have ultimately cost us, although it's also fair to say that our shocking defending last week ultimately cost us this year.
A humble guy with healthy desire.

Can't blame Rafa for anything tonight. He took off Torres when the game was seemingly lost but no-one told the players. Disappointed with the way we defended and I know I'm going to get shot for this but I think Carra needs a rest. He was our poorest defender. Apart from that we made Chelsea fight for it and it is good for the belief of the team.
