what a move, and a ready made replacement if Rafa did ever move on !!
Hmmm. I tend to think that management and coaching has moved on and I struggle to think of anyone who has come back to great success after so long out of the game.
I'm very happy to hear that Kenny may be coming back in some capacity it would be a huge boost to have a legend and one with his personality and love for the club back in some role or another. He also has good footballing beliefs which are a good thing to instill from the top at youth level.
I also think it is a massive step that Rafa is willing to contemplate bringing in such a powerful figure. He must feel very secure which I for one think is an excellent development.

As per usual, you speaketh sense.
I've been accused of being part of the RCDNW brigade on many, many occasions, but have always maintained my stance on the man. He's doing wonderful things at this club, he's becoming feared throughout Europe, as is the team and he truly does love this club.
This is further proof that great things are starting to happen and we have the best in the business.
It just seems to be positive on so many levels at the moment. Even when we lose, which is rare these days, we seem to (mostly) do it in style.

fair point, ok then if Rafa did leave it would help having kenny around in an advisory role !
your right though bold move for rafa although i think his stock has never been greater at the moment, he knowd he and we are destined for great things and you can just see the confidence he has in himself and the club at the moment
I had imagined Kenny coming back in a director of football type role or as someone to act as go-between between Rafa and the board but I'm suprised at a coaching role to be honest.
Whatever the role it would be good to see him involved at the club again!
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
It's in the Echo so it must be true, didn't they call Sammy Lee coming back too I'm sure?
