Thought Dirk Kuyt was incredible last night. My man of the match, faultless performance and i can't understand where he gets the energy from. He was like superman last night

When I was watching last night, I thought that it got a nick off Carra and that was why it went through Reina.

Does Kuyt's 5 assists include last night?? if not then he's got 7.
I can remember Pompey away, Man U home off the top of my head.

I'll admit he has won me over (as has Alonso) and I honestly believe an Alves (I know that ship has sailed) behind him to overlap and provide width would improve us and make Kuyt look even better, basically he is like Pires and Llungberg at their peak drifting in from wide to score and help create space for others
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Wish he hadn't rolled half way across Anfield after being fouled last night, think we'd have deservedly got a freekick on the egde of the area if he hadn't.

Unfortunately, running at speed and having your legs taken out like that tends to result in forward momentum being transferred to a roll like that....it was a blatent foul and that pillock of a referee missed it...in fact, he missed a couple of pretty obvious fouls in my opinion.

MEDIA RELEASE - FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION

I'd like to formally announce I have revised my opinion of Howard Webb in the light of his abject performance yesterday.
                .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Easy to say in hindsight, obviously.

I thought that was a fair enough decision actually - gamble for an extra two points against losing only one. Personally I think the draw all but finishes our league chances.

You simply won't find a more selfless, hardworking and intelligent footballer than Dirk Kuyt. What we also need is a very quick and rather more direct player to supplement what Kuyt brings to the right side. Ideally it would be someone young who's willing to bide their time as I still think Dirk should start the majority of games.
I agree with that. El Zhar is not a good enough player to bring on as an alternative to Kuyt. But we need a similar player to him. A first teamer would be ideal, if not a cracking squad player.

I like the look of that Pole at Dortmond.

                        Me too.

Before the game I said to my mate that he had deserved the FA cup final and hoped he'd prove me right. He didn't and was terrible.

In the 90th minute it was a gamble worth taking for me. Though had I known there would be 5 minutes of injury time I may have thought differently.

After such a great performance from him last night this was the last thing I was expecting. We had no problems up front and Kuyt was one of the better players.

I like him a lot and thought he had a fantastic 2nd half. In fact having said that he did pretty well 1st half too, but he's no central striker IMO.
Thought he was great last night all game. But like you say far more efficient when pushed out to the wing.

IMO Reina cant really be faulted for any of the goals last night. Your real culprits are Mash for the first, Carra and Arbeloa for the second, Aurelio for the third and the whole team for the fourth.

Only point for me is that he got down too slowly, or rather didn't have enough time to get down. With that in mind I think he could have used his feet, cardinal sin for a keeper I know but still, would have been safer except for the potential rebound
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
