I have stuck by Rafa through thick and thin and am happy to admit it but I do not feel the need to question anyone elses opinion which might be different. However you seem to think your opinion is better because you change it based on a couple of games.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

You're struggling arent you? Where have i said my opinion is better? You're having a bad couple of days mate.
But the point i'm making, is for example - if your opinion is that a team is very defensively sound, for example - and then they go and concede the most goals in a season, you'd be a fool not to revise your opinion, because the evidence would telling you otherwise.
It's quite simple mate.

I accuse you of flip flopping in your opinion and you defend that by mentioning if a team wins 10 games in a row, then loses ten games in a row you change your opinion. I agree.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostWhere did i mention US??? Christ, you're a whopper.
My question is what the **** has that got to do with us?Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

You justify your flip flopping by saying if a team wins 10 games, then fails to score in 10 games it's logical to change your opinion. I agree that would be good cause to have a good rethink and change your position.
My point is though, what has that got to do with Liverpool FC. When have we done this and why is it in any way a reasonable defence of your flip flopping.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Christ mate, are you being serious or is this a windup? If you're for real, there's certainly no danger of you winning Mastermind.Originally posted by Skillz View PostYou justify your flip flopping by saying if a team wins 10 games, then fails to score in 10 games it's logical to change your opinion. The obvious point, is that WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS does have a bearing on people's opinions.

I'd take a break from here for a couple of hours Craig, before one of us needs to enforce one on you. I know it's not just you but don't fall into old habits.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Just found this on a spurs website.
I don't really want to get into a huge discussion over Man United but I had to get this off of my chest at the same time.
Their win today makes them look set to retain their title but for me I find it really difficult to accept that outcome. I usually could not give a toss about United but their 2009 championship challenge just makes me feel sick & today's game sums up their season nicely in 1 match. They don't deserve to win.
They have not played like champions all season & yet they have come out on top every-time. What really, really drives me nuts tho is their smugness & it was there in all its glory once again today.
We were by far the better side over 60-65 minutes. We were beaten over a 10min spell where the referee decided he was wearing red instead of black & instead of behaving honourably, United start showing off & mocking us. It was disgusting & it is these idiots that are going to win the Premier League.
People say that the sign of champions is to be able to win when you're not playing well & I would agree. However, that statement is supposed to imply an ability to shut players down, work hard & do the ugly side of the game so that you can ride out your lack of form until you start playing well. It is NOT supposed to mean that you don't bother closing people down, give the ball away & not track back properly & you are not supposed to be like that ALL SEASON!
United have been asking teams to put them to the sword for ages & it looked as tho we were finally about to do that. They've lived off of the2 defenders & the 'team' has been poor & we were showing them how it should be done. They were really bad & after they went ahead from 3 fortuitous goals they showed not an ounce of humility when they should have been damn right embarrassed that they needed a referee to get them out of the whole they were in.
When they lift that trophy at the end of this season they'll be celebrating as if they are the best team to walk this planet but teams across Europe will be looking at the way they've played this season & they will be laughing at us.
When I think of the great teams to have lifted that trophy, even the United of last season, it makes me sick to think this bunch will have their names alongside them. Liverpool are by a country mile the more worthy title winners, just as we were the more worthy winners in today's game, & United will get their way just the same. I just hope that Liverpool don't give up like we appeared to.
The papers tomorrow will all talk of 'amazing' United score 5 & a 'stunning' fightback but few will really say that Tottenham were by far the better 'team', United profited from either the referee or the performance of just 2 or 3 players & that 5-2 is as an unjust a result as United's eventual winning of the title over Liverpool.
