Ex-players that seem like a figment of the imagination

    Pretty bored here.

Seeing Bolo Zenden last night got me thinking. It wasn’t long ago that was a Liverpool player yet it seems like distant memory and I can barely accept that he once played for us. Seems really weird that Zenden once played for us. For what it’s worth I thought he was ****. Lovely bloke, great for the squad with all those languages he speaks, but a **** player for us.

That’s not really the point of the thread though. What players do you find it difficult to imagine/remember playing for us?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

          Good shout on Zenden.

Ziege is a good one aswell. Myself and a mate at work were playing that game on the Teamtalk website where you're given a match - saay Liverpool V Spurs from 2001 and have to guess the team. I got all the Liverpool players but couldn't for the life of my remember Ziege. Five letters at left back just atuomatically equalled Riise for me. I remember all the hoo haa when Ziege arrived with all the legal wrangling. After about three months Ged realised he was pretty poor as an orthodox left back and that was pretty much that.

Barmby is another one you could almost forget about. He had a good to start to his Reds career but quickly faded.

Rigobert Song will always have a place in LFC history as the inspiration behind Robbie's wonderful 'Cameroonian' grass sniffing celebration.

Robbie Keane is an all too recent classic for this category.

I always liked Zenden as a player - sadly he wasn't what we needed at the time (and to some extent still do) namely a winger with pace. He was a neat possession footballer with a good cross and was party to our midfield becoming too static.

Ziege is another good call. I can't believe we went to all that trouble to get him now.

If you review the Treble DVD you'll see that while Ziege was no Left Back (and bloody hell the reason for his resurrection at the Boro was cos Robson played him in Central Midfield) he did contribute a large number of assists with his sweet left boot. Excellent technically, poor defensively, could have done well in the Rafa version of the team at Left Midfield.

                            Morientes.
Keane because it was so short.

(Titi Camara's first name was Aboubakar and Song's was Bahanag)

                            Obviously a lot of young'ens:
