A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

christ alive how many games did he win or save for us?

He always wanted to challenge himself abroad, thats no crime. I've never held anything against him for losing us some money. We've wasted enough of it in the past anyway. We got good service out of him and made some at the end.

Engerland was always No1 for wee micky. Thats why he didnt take the risk and joined newcastle! (perhaps hadnt recieved the best advice) No way should he be booed sunday. Im sure he has enough regrets without being booed too...

He doesn't need or deserve us to boo him to remind him where he is, why & where he could have been.

The way his career has gone I would have thought is punishment enough for anything he has ever done wrong!!

Did think this was going to be one of the twice a year would you take him back threads though

boo him. jeer the wee ****er off the pitch. throw mobile phones or any spare change you have at him.

nah, live and let live i say. he had to leave madrid and we couldn't afford him. not his fault. i wouldn't take him back now but you cant deny he was a great player for us. i'd probably quite happily cheer him when his name read out.

Dont see what's to be achieved by booing him or even focusing on him. He and Newcastle have got bigger things to worry about than being booed and we have more important things to focus on.

It'll be a minority though, if it happens. Pretty sad and pointless.

i'll be there and i won't boo him - he carried us at times and gave us some joy when we were distinctly average. I feel he just genuinley made a couple of mistakes and tied in with some unlucky injuries he has ended up in a relegation and well down the pecking order for England.

I'd prob only boo if left us and became a superstar at madrid, stayed fit, signed for chelsea in a £100m deal on £250k a week and was scoring 30 goals a season the cunt

MO regrets his decision big time - yeah he gets well paid but he'd do it over again tomorrow if he could.

No point in salting the wound. I'd welcome him back TBH.

A year ago I would have agreed but he just looks spent at the minute. Now I'd genuinely rather give Ngog/Nemeth a chance to prove themselves.

Indeed, looks like a shadow of his former form. Plus even if he did come back i could picture him running on and breakin his shin on a water bottle. Felt propa arl arse on him when this happened though.
