Following on from the earlier thread of "did they really used to play for LFC?", i thought that there must be some horrific combinations of bad lfc players from years gone by. Here's a start....

he didn't even play well, just scored 1 of our goals. shockingly poor player throughout his whole career regardless of his contribution in his last ever game for us.

Can't believe some of the players to have put on the red shirt, Diao, Leonhardsen, Xavier, Dundee, Cheyrou and Ferri are abysmal signings.

These threads always get me thinking of the summer of 2002, why oh why did he sign Diao, Cheyrou and Diouf but not Anelka. I mean why? WHY?

Have you actually been watching Liverpool for long? Some very strange choices; considering there is a cornucopia of players to choose from.

Scales was actually our best defender when fit, Heskey carried our team for a large part of 2001 season, Smicer, Istanbul aside made a number of telling contributions ( I can remember his run from a corner, and Chadwick taking him down with his teeth to get sent off againt United), Kirkland although injury prone, wasn't one of the worst keepers we had. I can probably make a case for a lot you have chosen, yet mysteriously left put the likes of Josemi, Nunez etc.

You can tell how poor a player is when one of his career highlights was the memory of him getting fouled!!!

I've been watching LFC for a long time and although other players will spring to mind, the ones i listed are, IN MY OPINION, utterly ****e on the whole. Having one or 2 decent games or having a purple patch one year doesn't exclude a player for me. Sorry about that.

Padelli has to be in goal for me, he was worse than Luzi and I think it's a bit harsh to give Kirkland a mention he wasn't a bad keeper just injury prone. Itandje probably deserves a mention

Defenders there are way too many to think about; Palletta, Kvarme, Tanner, Piechnik, Josemi, Babb, Dicks, Xavier, Ziege, Kippe

Midfield: Diao, Kozma, Ferri, Diomede, Gonzalez, Cheyrou, Leonhardsen, Zenden, Le Tallec, Stewart

Strikers: Dundee, Diouf, Meijer
