With no keane or pennant we are lacking credible 'English HG players. think we've enough youth squad level players to cover the 4 Liverpool HG spots, but think the situation as is is enough to tempt Rafa to getting some English first team level. we can't afford to have 6 squad places taken up or effectively 'lost'

Not sure about Insua but would be nice not to have to jettison him from the squad like this year, but i reckon we could see the likes of

Yep I think we'll definitely see at least Barry come in because of the quota rules. Also if Bouzanis qualifies under the 3 year rule that's two spots filled.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a cheapo/free replacement for Hyypia that qualifies as well.

Someone like Sol Campbell perhaps although I haven't seen enough to say whether he can still do anything at the top level.

insua was brought here when he was 17 wasn't he? he's like 20 now, so he should qualify as home grown next season. the same goes for nemeth i think, or maybe he still needs to be here one more year?
