Is that referring to anything in particular?

No, no, I just thought it might be a nice gesture.

            absolute legend

loved the way a few years ago - even against the big teams - ANY long ball into our areas was Samis - again and again just heading it all away.

Scored some cracking , important goals too.

Just wish he had been given that penalty against the chavs in last years cl semi final.

A cross between - the terminator - perfect proffessional - true leader - heading machine.

            thank you Sami

Awesome player, will be sad to see the big lad go.

"he played every minute of 57 consecutive European games for the Reds from November 2001 to February 2006"

All the best to him, he deserves everything he's achieved and more.

Ultimate professional and superb defender. Legend indeed.

A fantastic servant to this club, a true professional - he is a genuine LFC legend.

All the best to him he's been a great player for us I think the word legend tends to be over used but he is

I hope he gets a testimonial before he leaves and returns one day as a coach
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                                Gutted.

I knew this day would come but it hasnt made it any easier

One of the best central defenders to have donned the Liverbird on his chest

A true legend, he will be sorely missed

I am sure this was a tough decision for him to make, I am also sure he chose to move away from the PL as he would have found it too hard to play against us

Good luck Sami, you are a legend

Hopefully he will return to us when his playing career is finished
