To be honest this West Ham team seems alot different to their sides in the past. They used to be a team that were like a see-saw, up and down. Now they seem to have levelled out some what. When they play a poorer team they tend to get the result, when they play a top team they tend to not win.

Upton Park is always a difficult place to go but without Scott Parker they lack a bit of bite in the midfield and their youngsters also lack that bit of experience required when playing the big boys.

Without Carlton Cole they have also struggled for goals as they seem very lightweight up top.
        Forwards.......

Simple question, do you think a manager plays a part in influencing results and fortunes of a club?
Surely you already know that since you know what I think about everything apparently, including why I logged off.

          The answer is no, obviously.

          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Did you watch Lucas at Old Trafford or at Craven Cottage or at St James Park? I say you blinkered to him, he has some very good games for us and is able deputy for Alonso and unlike Gerrard won't be wasted in that position.

I like Lucas, and for the time being if he's needed he can provide a service. But in all honesty i dont think he's good enough for us. He needs far to much time and gets knocked off the ball far to easily..... Seems to be having difficulties adapting to the league. He's got talent though and doesnt deserve half the **** he gets.

Lucas has everything he needs except cojones. If he develops a set, he'll be brilliant, if he doesn't he'll be in Spain.

                    F*ck, you're irritating sometimes.

Where did I imply the manager has no effect on the team?

Straw man. Again, Syd. You're sliding back to your old ways.

In midfield they have a nice and attractive blend of good passing, aggression and mobility. In attack, Tristan always knows where the goal is but it is from set pieces where they might be able to hurt us. The scouting mission from DannyMan was rubbish.
