Reina is the type of player that you would not begrudge him what he earns as a footballer due to his attitude on and off the pitch and also they way is with the fans. Unlike some ungreatfull players out there on mega bucks but would not piss on a fan if they were on fire.

He seems like the type of bloke that you could say hello to in a bar and have a pint with.

yeah, agreed the likes of Shay Given et al get the plaudits sometimes (and are good keepers) but they only get to shine cos they play behind ****e defences! The big lad is unquestionably the best keeper in the prem. Only Cech on his day is close but he is definitely not the keeper he was 2 years ago for obvious reasons

I cant seem to say this often enough, but i absolutely love him.

I was right at the front and virtually dead centre of goal today, so Pepe was about 10 feet away from us.

During the warmup, the players were obviously doing the usual thing of striking shots at goal. A few of these went over or wide, and a couple blasted straight at some unsuspecting supporters.

Pepe Reina would look towards the fans who'd been hit - and do a little thumbs up gesture, as if to say 'you ok?...yeah? ok?' and then a little nod and a grin when he'd had confirmation that they were alright

And while Gerrard was stepping up to take his penalty, Pepe turned around to face us fans and crouched right down so the fans right at the front could see...but with a nervous grimace on his face

Then after a split second of doubt, he stands up with a big grin and clap.

Not to mention laughing in Di Michele's face when he was on the floor demanding a penalty.

His interaction with the fans is superb and the bloke's a legend.

Love him to bits

If that was your 1,500 post you made a bit of a mess of it. Reina has played 3 full seasons in England and won the Golden Gloves every season. As far as i am aware he is still in the running for this seasons which would make it 4 from 4 if he was succesfull.

unbeliavable keeper, best in prem and wouldnt swap him for anyone in the world. Not since schmeicel have i seen such an outstanding keeper at setting up attacks, always aware of whats going on.

It baffles me how he doesnt get more plaudits from other fans/journos

I echo everything that has been said he's seems a top bloke and perfect for Liverpool. I wouldn't want anyone else in the world between our sticks.
