I don't think he has once even made the subs' bench of Garth Crooks' team of the week on the BBC website, proof if proof were needed that Garth Crooks is a ******ous ladyboy who just reads the media rather than actually watches any games.

It's one of those odd things that Reina never seems to get the credit he deserves. Early in the season more than once the points we gained were secured on the back of his excellence and everyone concentrated on how they couldn't believe it was our best PL start (or whatever the stat of the week was) as we looked shaky. I guess it is because he is resolutely unshowy as a keeper and we (as a side) have a reputation of being defensive.

but then surely his eagerness to start attacks should be mentioned and it so rarely is.....its is beyond stupid how some people dont rate pepe, i sometimes think its our red tinted glasses but he is a truly incredible keeper and if vds had pepe's vision the commentators would be creaming there pants

He's been amazing this season, right from the start, we'd of probably been out against Standard if it wasnt for him. And seems like a great character.

i think he is more important to have in the team than anyone else including gerrard and torres if you know what i mean. if we lost him for a prolonged period we could be in trouble.

We would of definitely been out
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

not only start attacks but i dont think any other keeper in the prem has assists to his name either
                  in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

Pepe is IMO by far the best keeper in the Premiership and perhaps in the top three in the world. I can only think of Buffon and Casillas that even come close but maybe i'm biased.

According to Phylis Neville Tim Howard is in the top three keepers in the Prem I wonder who he has above him?

Still a decent keeper Howard though.

he has this fantastic ability to bounce back after mistakes and not let them get into his head. dunno whether this is a mentality that you are born with or whether it's good coaching or both but he let in 8 goals in 2 games not so long ago but can still inspire the team and fans, start attacks, make great saves, come for crosses (although he still makes me nervous doing this)
