No. We did what we haven't done before by picking up the most points in the top four matches, but we are still short of winning the league as a result of drawing 11 matches. To only lose possibly 2 matches and still to have lost the league with 2 games to go is frustrating. Fergie says a league winning team can only lose 4 matches, by that token we should be miles ahead. 86 point hasn't been enough this year and it won't be next year.

Most people wouldnt accept 86 points has shown much the bar of expectation has been raised. Pressure will be on us to sustain and improve what we have done this season.

I reckon 90 points should be our target for next seasona and thats if we sign someone class alongside Gerrard and Torres.

This is the first time I've said it since the 80's. This year is different.

You'll always get a few blindly optimistic, but now it is realistic, look how close we are this season despite the team not clicking for a large chunk of it.
