a manc comes in my shop (barbers) and went to watch the manure-liverpool game and said to me the day before that he didnt rate him that highly but he had never seen him live. next time he came in i asked him what he thought and his words were "for me he is better than ronaldo, he is just pure magic and is the best player i have ever seen"

now for a manc to say that, for me is testiment to just how incredible torres is.

best in the world and probs best ever.

      No he's not Zidane

        Best ever?!?!?!

I absolutely love the man, love him, but even I'd say that's stretching it a bit!
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

He seems to have done that more this season than last, and it seems to happen when he's perhaps not in the most positive frame of mind, feeling a bit sulky and i think, it's connected with his fitness and general wellbeing.

When he's firing on all cylinders fitness-wise, we dont see the sulky side or the 'try to do everything on your own' side of him as much.

I think if he can have a proper full preseason and stay fit, he'll be on course for another sublime season next year. 30+ goals again.

14 goals in 20 starts, when you're not even fit, is utterly out of this world.

I dont think there's a limit to how good he can be when he's 100% fit and sharp. I love him

It's a major bugger about the Confederations Cup this summer. Euros last year, Confed Cup this year, World Cup next - he's gonna end up playing solid for 3 full years

Were you holding the scissors to his throat when he said it per chance?

He's certainly not the best ever.

Aye was going to extend my post and write something similar but couldn't be arsed in the end I think it's probably born out of frustration.

His goalscoring record has always been fantastic yes. But his general play can be improved further and I'm sure Rafa is already on his case.

The good thing with him is that he is not cocky like Mr. Ronaldo and he's not the kind of guy who'll get lost in his hype.

The boy is phenominal and this video has 50 reasons why!

They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

Phenomenal finisher - BUT he can and will improve his general play outside the box. First touch still needs tuning IMO. Still love you Fernando though.

Its nice to know that you've already got a player as fantastic as Torres.........who still has room for improvement.

quite simply the best striker in world football at this moment. I can only think of Drogba when he is on fire who has a similar unplayability about them and he is a cunt so you cant count him out
