      He has the right attitude
      He works hard
And has chipped in with goals and assists.
      never goes missing

out and out wingers will go missing in big games just look at Ronaldo etc. Watching a wingers highlights is soooo different than watching them week in week out.

He has his failings but we won't loose games because off them and his strengths are one of the reasons we score goals at the end of the game, he must be hell to play against and he keeps on going.
Agreed! Being a decent full(of****e) back myself, I think the "Kuyt type" winger is much more difficult to play against than the "Thai ladyboy ****** type"... If the latter tries his trick, simply foul him and your sorted. But the Kuyt type just goes on all game long, and no matter how much you bring him down, he will keep running at ya! And if you get the ball off him he will chase you like a madman!

      Kuyt 4 no. 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

plus he doesn't get rattled or throw his teddies out of the pram.

Kuyt is definatly the total is great than the sum of the parts.
In a like minded team i.e. ours he does his job very well and just adds to the pressure Torres and Steive put on the defenders.

Recon if you told him to play in goals he'd give it 100% his attidute is spot on.

And he can score and set up players. He's scored some crucial goals for us not just the 4 or 5th on a 5-0 battering.

We need players like Kuyt to push for the PL, we've always had the unsung hero's who's work only was truly apparent once they'd left.

Personally, and ive watched all the Liverpool matches this season, I think Dirk has been outstanding in all but a handful of matches. Overall he has been 10 x the player we all loved to moan about last season and in my mind he is now the nailed on starter for the right hand side. The lad is never injured either, that is such a bonus!

Apart from the dutch national side of course.

from wide right - 12 league goals, 9 league assists. Completely unselfish, grounded, 150% committed player and we could do better?

Your view had some validity last season but he has stepped up to the plate and some. Your view looks daft now.

I wonder how many tackles he's made and attacks he's thwarted? Kuyt is a great workhorse, we need players like him to provide the platform for the more creative players. He does score some crucial goals too. He has been quite frustrating to watch in the past, but he's improved enormously this season.

His control and touch are underrated as well - it has become a mantra, but given the position in which he often receives the ball, and that he never, ever hides and always gives the carrier the option of passing to him, I'd say his touch and control are very good.

Fantastic pace and a lethal goalscoring technique are not his, clearly - although he's not bad on the latter front this last season, not just in the stats of goals scored, but also his decision making when faced with a chance.
