    Scrapping of the PTS Scheme

I don't know how many PTS members there are in here but if you are one you'll be getting the same letter today that I got informing you that the PTS Scheme is being scrapped.

Basically the fact that I was on a waiting list for years; then paid £55 per year when I came off it to keep up my membership and the fact that I have a full list of games attended now means **** all and anyone that fancies paying £29 per year has the exact same access to tickets that I had. This includes touts and all. It also includes bandwagon jumpers that will be able to get tickets now when we are becoming competetive that wouldn't be arsed following them when we weren't.

This is a ****ing joke and another example of how the powers that be at LFC couldn't give a toss about the loyal fans and want trailer loads of £29's as opposed to 10,000 £55's from genuine loyal fans.

Is there any one in here with any influence that can appeal to the club about this? Its pathetic.

This is a sign of the club selling out - 12th man my arse??? They couldn't give a **** if the stadium was filled with people that were there for their first and only game and didn't open their mouths becuase they were too busy taking pictures.

If anyone on here knows anyone in the Echo they should get this plastered all over the ful pages about how the mightly LFC is prepared to **** over some of its most loyal fans so the our debt can be serviced.

I agree. Nobody should be allowed to go to their first game.

I knew someone would come back with that - that is quite obviously not my point. There was nothing wrong with the present system; there is a general sale for people that want to go to 1 or 2 games per annum; or there is the0 option of going with a travel firm or the option of going onto a forum and seeing would any members be able to help.

That letter has ruined my day - Gutted. I have been on PTS since it's inception. Worked like a dream for me and never failed to get a ticket for the games I could go to. This meant I could pretty much plan my weekends and travel for the season and was lucky enough to go to 15/16 home games a season.

Now its back with the masses - ticket site crashing, never being able to get through on the phone and having to pay for the priviledge of a recording telling me to "please try again later".

10 years on the ST waiting list - suppose I am still 29,383rd in that list too!

I feel a barren season of live football ahead of me -BOLLOX!

I am in exactly the same position as you, and agree entirely.

The target's 100,000 £25 memberships and the prediction is that the touts will take out a couple of hundred of memberships each.

Just posted in another thread about how out of order it is for people to have access to season tickets not in their name, and how this leads to thousands on the waiting lists. Have to confess I'm with you on this one. Never was able to spend the days on the bloody phone trying redial just to get to one game. The PTS was ideal, if you didnt have a season ticket.

                      Bloody stupid decisions.

Rafa Benitez gave us pride again. He gave us hopes and dreams. He made us feared across the Continent and took us closer to the Premier League Title than anyone since King Kenny. He became one of us and fought on our behalf. Rafa "got" LFC. For me he will forever be a legend. I'd have him back in a heartbeat. YNWA Rafa.

I guess it boils down to whether people think some people deserve to get tickets over others, whether that be due to paying an annual fee or having attended lots of other games. Is a more level playing field such a bad thing, especially when demand for tickets is so high?

The thing is that it`s the regular goers that creates the noise and makes Anfield what it is, but the club makes more money of I guys like me.
I go to match every few years, and spend loads of money in the club shop. In the next game a new guy takes my seat, and spend loads of money inn the shop.
A regular spends loads of money in the shop one or twice a year, but a seat that goes to someone like me generates more money.
Until we get a new stadium, with room for regulars and the Scandos like me the club has a problem.
And I`m pretty sure the current owners will choose money over anything else.

I've been on for about 15 years so you're nowhere near the front

Thanks for that - kick a man while he's down why don't ya

To be fair I don't think I stand a chance even if we get to the new stadium unless there is a complete purge of all season ticket holders.

I just hope SOS come up with something when they go back to the club with comments
