If you had a seasonticket and gave it up because you couldnt afford it for a season then you are a fool. Its the system that wrong dont blame the people who do it because if I was in their shoes I would do the exact same.Ive been on the list for 12 years now.

I have had a season ticket for three years now (incidentally the three years Liverpool have never won a trophy) and now have to give it up due to going to University. However, i certainly will not be giving it back to the club. I will be giving it to a mate of mine for a few years, someone who has been on the list for a ridiculous amount of time yet is highly unlikely to get a season ticket in the near future.

I know what i am doing is morally wrong, but i feel i have the right to give the ticket to who i want. It would be stupid of me to give something up, i am likely never ever to get back. Whats more, i am giving a mate of mine an oppurtunity he is only going to get once, it might not be "fair" but like anything in life it aint what you know it's who you know. The system is at fault, not the season ticket holders... it is common sense not to give it up.

Think the reaction to Craig has been a bit over the top and he has defended himself pretty well to be fair.

I stand by my comment though

I stand by your ability to stand by it

TBH, as i said, the vast majority of the games are sold online and with a bit of effort, most people should find it easy to get tickets, if they pay attention to dates of sale and do what i do. I appreciate that not everyone can be sat at a computer at 8:30am and that, for these people, it is indeed a very difficult process to get a ticket. For the majority though, i dont think it's hard at all, and i say that from having experienced it myself for a few years.

JUst out of interest, and bear with me because I'm quite drunk, but once your uni has finished, can you not get the ticket back? Surely you should just "loan" it to the person?

I do hazily remember having cup vouchers as part of my old standing kop ticket. I think spare vouchers were used. I may be wrong though.

Value wise we are very good in comparison to the teams around us.

Just be happy you have been offered a season ticket. I know people who'd kill for one.

Also your guaranteed tickets for the mancs and bitter games which are like gold dust.
i hazily remember them to, my season ticket was £80 for standing only i think??? for an u16 not sure if thats right, but that the figure thats in my head from 20-25 years ago.

Sounds about right mate. Good old memories. Getting to the game a couple of hours before kick off so you could get your usual space in the crowd. Getting a bovril before the game because the old Kop was ****ing freezing! Taking a milk crate into the ground to put infront of the crash barrier so I could stand on it when I was about 7 or 8.

I had two season tickets (one for me, one for my son) for a while and decided to give them up because the travelling was getting too much and life was getting too hectic elsewhere. We gave them back to the club and immediately put our names back on the waiting list, the idea being we'd get a few years off until the stadium is built.

                              9 years and counting.

I can understand why people don't give them back because the wait is so long but it would be fairer if everyone did. Also, the wait would not be so long, hmm?
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Iv been on the waiting list for 3 years now, for a pair of ST.

Id honestly pay £1000 per season ticket today. This is why i think the club is making such a goof not building a new stadium. They would easily have 50000+ fans ready to buy a ST.
