This is what he has been working for, a chance to manage an elite club with elite players. It doesn't get any bigger. If he is successful then he stays longer. The short contract thing is very much a Spanish cultural way of doing things. Earn the right to more time, the reward for success.

Yessss... the ole new ole site is back!!

Anyhow I have no idea how I feel about Iraola right now, in two minds, this maybe another one of those transition years considering it's his first year though, so my expectations are ho hum right now...

I don't know if this has already been posted, but managed to find a longer interview of Iraola's first sit down on the official. I will say, he says all the right things. You can feel his passion. I believe he is going to fit like a glove.

Until now I was a bit up in the about his appointment, but I think he's ready for the step up.

Anyway here is the more detailed interview with the LFC tv

I felt exactly the same when I watched his interview, his teams run themselves into the ground and that’ll make Anfield a cauldron again

I do not know why, but I but it just feels right. I agree his brand of football is what the fan base craves and Anfield will get excited about.
I'm not expecting over night adaptation, but I know we have the right players for his style of football.

I said in a previous post that last year we bought players for a Klopp style of football, Slotball just didn't suit the players we have or bought. Again our plan seems to be the same.

I think this is why there was a sudden change of mind. To got the way Slot wanted to play meant a total reset and change of personnel on the pitch.

Iraola, will allow our players to express themselves, and not restricted their abilities on the pitch.

I'm really excited for the coming season now, I just wish it wasn't a month away ????

Yeah we’re stuck watching our players away on Int Duty where I’d prefer them relaxing on a beach somewhere.

One thing I realised looking at Iraola - we are now going to have to wind down our ‘Lego head’ position with regards to Arteta.
                  Modifying post.

Only a short clip but you can’t help but like what he’s saying about his style of play and approach.

LOL, so true...But our lego head is much more likable than the OG lego head, oh and his football is so much better too.

Yeah, hopefully they'll all be eliminated early, then get away for their hols. Return a couple of weeks.before the new.season and get some fitness work in before August.

I'm not sold on Iraola at all but he will get my unqualified support while in situ. I would have preferred us to wait until the end of the World Cup to get Nagelsmann but I assume the powers that be didn't want to hang around so ho hum.

That’s the plan hey. No injuries & an early holiday.

I don't see how we could have got a manager who was at a WC, the WC final is the 19th July, our first pre-season game is 6 days later, and there were reports of preseason training starting a about 7th July,so I just don't see how that type of approach is practical for anyone if you want to have a good start to the season.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
