And as by magic, my old thread re-appears.

    I miss Arbs...

He's worse than Dossena, which is quite a feat.

Looked a bit lost. Didn't expect great things defensively, but assumed he'd show a bit more going forward.

Good post Danny, agree with it all

I'm hoping he was just tired from pre-season. Like really, reeeally tired. Why else would he stick his hand up and not run? Surely he isn't that dumb?

What worried me more was his ball-watching for the last goal

On the limited evidence so far, looks one of the worst LFC players in my lifetime! h:

And considering some of the players we had in the early to mid-90s that's quite an achievement

                Paul Stewart set the benchmark.

worrying that the only senior back up to johnson is bloody degen.

if alonso goes as expected, after the shabby departure of arbeloa aswell, our squad that had a few holes , suddenly needs to replace 2 first team players aswell.

should have told alonso and arbeloa that they would have to stay if there werent done deals by pre season returning. shocking that they are leaving only a couple of weeks before the league kicks off and in the meantime weve only signed glen johnson, unless rafa pulls another couple of sigings in addition to aquilani then clearly we havent prepared well this summer.

From what I've seen of Degen and Darby, I'd be tempted to give Darby the chance as backup to Johnson

Stevie G can play RB very well if necessary.

Has anyone else seen him head the ball yet? Whenever there's a cross to the far post that he's marking he always seems very keen to let it drift over his head and go out. More often than not tho, it ends up being a half chance for the attacking team.

Pretty poor defensively from what I've seen though he's pretty quick getting forward. If only he could cross the ball!!!!
