Im becoming really pissed off with them lately. Their latest agenda to try to push the club towards administration is just moronic and dangerous

So is anybody here a member? If they are, they're keeping a low profile.
      Oh I don't know.

        Agreed, a very low profile.

I hope this video damages their reputation beyond repair because right now they are getting too much media attention for their campaign and I absolutely disagree with their strategy.

Only other site i read occassionally is RAWK, and it's not being mentioned on there at all?? I do see lots of SOS sticky posts, so i assume their leaders are based on that site?

The posts about this are deleted straight away!

"Well i've deleted one of them. Personally most liverpool fans know about it, none of us should be remotely proud about what happened and I don't see it as RAWK's mission to publicise this anymore than it already is. We're not Pravda, but we are Liverpool fans and yes I'm prejudiced as I hate to see arseholes drag my club down." Saddam is in charge over there.

I represent my opinions on LFC, ME. not EST, RAWK, SoS or anyone else. i thought the whole appeal of Liverpool fans was that we were a diverse and knowledgable bunch who had opinions on the game as well as our club. i personally hate the tribal thick as feck in-gur-lund attitude that i white wash england match attendees with.

if liverpool was just another set of clone fans espousing the same view then it's a real pity. if someone wants to put themselves forward as representing ALL LFC fans then they should ****in keep this kind of **** from happening. if I, a lifelong fan, started a group claiming to represent all fans called 'pillars of paisley' which contaminated the name of a great man like sir bob i'd bloody top myself. i wouldn't want it happening to a great figure and part of our history like sir bob, or shanks. the worst bit is that the media are reporting it as 'THE supporters club' singing about munich

self appointed media hungry groups who claim to represent me when i pride myself on being different, and certainly NEVER chanting **** about munich, can quite frankly take a large piece of wood and fornicate themselves.
help where you can - which they do - by all means, but DONT put yourself forward as the guiding light and one-and-only salvation for LFC, because if you do, and this happens, every LFC fan has to drop their head, allowing the usually more vicious mancs to take the moral ground in our rivalry which then gets played up by the media

I am a member I signed up at the beginning of the season because I was supportive in their attempts to get rid of the yanks , But their recent behaviour is not good, I refused to send an audacious e-mail to RBS ( as if that would have worked) and I can not condone the behaviour of some of the fans chanting about Munich as stated on an earlier thread,

Obviously when my subscribtion is up for renewal in the coming months I would have to review the situation, There is one thing fighting hard for the love of our club but there's another by dragging it through the dirt

                        Fair play.

Are you tempted to voice your displeasure to the people who run SOS?
                        Oh I don't know.

Shame really, as a fans voice for the club is a good thing in my opinion but I just don't see this lot being taken very seriously anymore.

It may even lead to some divisions on The Kop next season, with various banners and chants.

                            Constant Aims

                            Short Term Aims

To create long lasting relationships with all aspects of Liverpool FCs supporting community.
To improve the quality of service for Liverpool FCs supporters.

                            Medium Term Aims

To build links with grassroots supporter groups.

                            Long Term Aim

Supporter ownership of Liverpool Football Club.

Unfortuntately, the SOS have become a fringe group and can no longer claim to represent the majority of liverpool fans (if they ever did in the first place).

I suppose the good intentions were there during some really emotional times for us and they took advantage and set themselves up as our saviours and the official voice of liverpool fans.

They used shanks grand daughter to get some credibility and now she might be regretting the day she ever joined up.

Its like the BNP - they can say whatever they want to make themselves look like a legit party but behind closed doors the truth always comes out.

Even though united are our greatest rivals and sworn enemies the Munich thing is the last straw.

The problem is that the idea of a 'fans voice' tends to assume that we all think the same things and care about the same issues. Obviously the idea of cheaper coaches to away games is a good one and I'm pretty sure that SoS have been involved in other positive things too. The problem is that on issues like ownership where sadly fans have little knowledge they seem to stick their oar in without any great knowledge of the way things work or if they do seem to do things to gain publicity rather than to help fans in any way.

I really resent the idea that on a broad set of issues we should always be 'speaking with one voice'. It just looks like an attention seeking clique to me. They need to jettison a lot of their in group/out group nonsense and condescension of fans who disagree with them before I would consider giving them any real respect.
