It was a good work out to be honest. They pulled us from side to side they gave us a good game and thats what we want from a pre season frendly. Usually they are 3-0 wins and the oppisition offer nowt.

Totally agree mate, just watched it on LFC TV, Johnson looked great. Gerrard and Kuyt also looking sharp. Dani Pacheco needs to learn how to see the options on offer. Its great that he wants to score, but he needs to expand his vision a bit

Very impressed with the run out, it was like an FA Cup game than a friendly. Hate to say it but Voronin looked class, didn't lose the ball once and was the focal point in the first half. Not much of a goal threat - still.

Glen Johnson is the 'difference' player that we've needed in the team. If Gerrard or Torres don't win us games than this guy can single handedly.

Not sure about Johnson winning us games, but he can add a touch of dynamism and tempo to our play, which was sorely needed.

Voronin was indeed good, but i fear that it's a consequence of the opposition level. In the PL, he's not quick or powerful enough to be an asset.

I'd say Benayoun is equally not as quick and three hundred times weaker than Voronin but has adapted. Maybe he needs to play in this new attacking Liverpool we're finally seeing. Glen on the other hand can win us games with a deft run, pass, cross or goal. His attacking positional sense is on par with Gerrard and Torres - and that's just from one warm up game!
