      Slightly off topic:

Several reports in the media today mentioned that Gerrard is in Crown Court today for a two week trial. I hadnt heard that he was going to be missing the Far East trip. Is that in fact the case? Amazing that his lawyers could not have got that trial scheduled at a time not during preseason.

The alternative would've been to hold it during the actual season. He was in Vienna last night and flew back to Liverpool, but i doubt he'll be required to remain for the duration.

I heard from the local media here that Gerrard is trying to arrive on Tuesday just before the game, if the court schedule allowed. However, from the report in UK, it seems like there will be a court schedule on Tuesday morning. So, i guess, he wont coming to Asia.

There were a number of procedural delays and the case was eventually adjourned until 10.30am on Tuesday.

Gerrard's absence from the Liverpool squad has put helped put a dampener on the club's current much-hyped Asian swing.

His court date was set before the trip to Asia was announced although Gerrard featured in promotional adverts aired on television in the region.

Liverpool matches against Thailand on Wednesday and Singapore four days later were heavily promoted with both games likely to play in front of sell-out crowds.

Funny you say that, but they were a complimentary pair courtesy of Nike. And I had them a month or so before release last year before the Beijing Olympics.
